I've been using the same foundation for years now - it's now discontinued & now have to find a new one. The reason I say I have to 'start over' is because once I find a good product, I stick to it & use it for as long as I can & it's been so long since I've looked in the market.
So can you girls help me find one that suits my skin type?
I need a med coverage liquid foundation w/ a natural/satin finish.
Long lasting & for oily skin.
My budget is $35. PLEASE help, I feel like a newbie again. D:

=(
I would suggest MUFE HD, but I'm not too sure if I remember right whether you liked it or not in these talk threads...
I feel your pain though.
Maybe you can look into Graftobian, OCC...?

i have actually been asking the same question, just because I am looking to try something new, but I really love:
revlon colorstay - i too have oily skin and this is my favorite one. it's medium to full coverage and i would say it is pretty full coverage- trust me, it is on there for the whole day! it really does cover up any pimples, blemishes, red spots, discoloration, under eyes- I do use concealer every once in a while, but i dont usually see any need. i dont think it looks cakey in any way either, because i was nervous to switch over to something that is heavy
maybelline dream mousse- before i started using colorstay, this was my favorite. it is medium-full coverage and idk if you use liquid or what, but this is a great sub. if your looking for something a bit lighter than liquid
so i hope that helped you! what was it that discontinued?
your profile picture is awesome. did you take it yourself or did you get it professsionally done? i love the way your makeup looks it in too, it looks so pretty and flawless & dosent take away from your natural beauty

I really like Maybelline Fit me Foundation, I have combination skin though, I hear it can be oily on oily skin. I think that can be solved with some powder though. I do think it could work for everyone! I really like it! :)

If you're looking for a drugstore brand try shopping at Riteaid as they have a 100% guarantee. If you don't like it return it with receipt. Also get samples from Sephora, Ulta or other dept stores like Macy's. I don't know if MAC gives out samples or not.

I would recommend Revlon Colorstay as well.

Ulta also has a 100% guarantee. You can return makeup if you don't like it.

Thanks ladiess!!
@Soma - yeah, I love MUFE HD, but sadly, it's out of my price range., My budget is actually $30 & I'm already pushing it w/ $35. Trust me, if money wasn't an issue, this topic wouldn't exist. It's my fav. :( lol
Eria - Thanks! I might give the original colorstay a try again - last time I tried it, it was just WAY too matte on my face & I could see the pigment spread on my face. This was years ago though, so maybe it might be different now. I could maybe pair it up with MAC Fix+ & maybe that'll work out.
Oh & I was using Revlon Colorstay Light Active. A light-med satin finish foundation. It's so good. I have no idea why they stopped making it. So sad! lol
& Thank you!! I took it - It's just a fancy camera, a fancy lens, & fancy lighting equipment. ;)
Nykki - I was actually just thinking about that foundation but idk if it'd work for me because I have to worry about oilies, heat & humidity & doesn't seem like it would hold up. Whats your experience w/ it during the summer?

Andrea Let me just say, I live in Phoenix Az. lol. It gets up to 120 here! egh. It's hot! I still love this foundation. I do keep powder with me all the time though. So if I get a little oily due to sweat I just dab some powder on and it is fixed. The foundation does outlast the heat! :) Remeber you cab always return it if it doesn't work. I do think it's worth a try! I LOVE it! :)

I might as well try the Fit Me! It doesn't hurt to try esp considering I was planning on spending $30+ on a foundation anyway. lol

I've got oily skin & FitMe is way too dewy a finish. I'm shiny in less than an hour, even with powder. It's relatively humid here in the summer, though it was tolerable in the spring.
Revlon's Colorstay has been my best bet for budge-proof foundation.. but if you find it's too heavy, just cut it with moisturizer or use a buffing brush to really smooth it out.
I love the finish of MUFE HD, but it does require a bit more maintenance. I carry blot film around for shine, but it lasts very well.

I love Studio Gear Flawless Foundation. It's medium coverage, but buildable if you need slightly more, lasts all day and doesn't have a matte or dewey finish. I have combination skin--oily t-zone-- and I never get shiny halfway through the day. Over a primer it lasts through a hot night of dancing. I'm pretty much in love with it. You can get it at ULTA, and the price is $25

Andrea, Let me know if you try it! I really want to know if it works for you! :) I am still in love with it! lmbo. I have been hearing it is too dewey for some people, I really don't have any problems with that. hmm.

try loreal tru match or the revlon colorstay! i was using colorstay but then i saw in one of kandee johnsons videos that she uses the loreal tru match on all her clients.. and i made the switch from colorstay to true match... and i probably wont go back!! but both are great foundations! (avoid the fit me foundation! i have normal skin and it was still too dewy and made me look greasy... i can only imagine on someone with oily skin!! ahhh!) hope your quest for a new foundation works out!
