@Nykki - I was SHOCKED it was in my mailbox. They sent the email Friday around 3 that it had shipped, it usually takes 3 or 4 days, not including the weekend, so I wasn't expecting it until Wednesday or Thursday. My ship date is the 6th.
@Robin - I agree with you 100% I thought it was a bit weak. Especially after recieving the Laura Geller Bronzer.... last month I received a deluxe size of pangea toner (I love it, btw) and the Purity Cleanser (which is far from new). And the snacks seem to come every other month and they seem to be in addition to not in place of makeup. And I admit b/c I'm a foodie I like it. hahaha

I see that Nancy-Lee got Aug BB 1. Looks like that and #3 were the two primaries sent out first. I haven't seen any videos yet of BB 2 and the website still hasn't put out the rest of the boxes online to see how many boxes were sent out this month and what each box content was.

I replied to your video as well but here's the semi-short answer.
I asked around. LOL I know how to read the box numbers (video link above) and went to ask those who received their boxes and posted a few days ago what box # they received. Those whose box contents were exactly like yours had August Birchbox 1. The only other box that I've seen the contents of has been for August BB 3. I'm still watching videos and hoping to find BB 2's contents.
Typically Birchbox will also list their products on their site but so far they haven't done so other than the master August list. I figured this out last month and was able to confirm it.

July's boxes - August will be like this once Birchbox's shipping company finishes sending out the August boxes. All I know so far there are at least three different Birchboxes for August.

ooh I saw your youtube vid on your box last night and realized that I never got a shipping notice from them. I had to check in my spam and birchbox's shipping email was in there! haha. I should be getting it today hopefully.

So does my daughter's but she got BB6 last month. I wouldn't think that's reliable since that isn't updated from the first time you placed your order.

@Carly - I love Birchbox and each month they send out different boxes. I know in July there were 10 variations while in June there were 14. The box that the person gets is based on how they set up their profile. If disappointed or someone is getting repeats that person should contact Birchbox and have them help you set up the profile. If after that the person is still disappointed then quit. Frankly so far I love BB and this will be my third box with them.

I watched the video.
I can see what she's not happy but considering that shipping is built into the price we're only really paying $4.05 for products and not even that once you factor in the cost of the packaging. (She reminds me of Patty from the Millionaire's Club on Bravo.)
I just don't get why people don't contact Birchbox first if they're unhappy about getting the same type of products over and over. The people at Birchbox want to make their customers happy and like I said, even with my own July mishappy I'm still a pretty happy customer but I'm also still a new customer. August will be my third month (still waiting for my package).

I didn't even realize that the hair tie was in the box. When I took the ribbon off of the 2 little bottles, I just so happen to place the ribbon on top of the tie. I had scooped what I thought was all ribbon up to toss.. at the same time I was double checking the content card... that's when I realized it. And because I was so confused about it - I also untied it. My hair is too thick and I am not wearing a big knot on my wrist. Speaking of hair - My hair is straight as a board, I do not need a curling gel - into my blog prize bag!
