Becoming a makeup tester ?

Does anyone know how to become a makeup tester for different makeup companies , I would love to test out all different kinds of make up so I was wondering how to go about it

Most people who work for cosmetic companies as testers typically have some type of degree in science (chemistry, biology). Now if you mean like be a random tester and be given free products that is typically done through 3rd party research companies whom the company contacts to have their products tested.

You mean like - being one of those people who do the "95% of women saw dramatically larger lashes!!" type thing? I believe those are done randomly. Here in LA, there's people that will come up to you & ask you if you want to test out the "new revolutionary product for blahblah company" etc. I usually decline because they're usually hassles to do & take lots of paper work & stuff. It's not very appealing. lol

They're usually done by marketing companies collecting data for demographic research. Here where I live, there's actually one based out in our mall, and they have employees pulling random mall patrons in to do surveys. I've done a few, but never for makeup. You don't get to pick and choose, they narrow you down depending on their opening questionaire and needs.

The process usually starts out with you receiving the product and trying it out. They give you some time to play with it, test it, taste it, etc. depending on what the product is. Afterwards, you sit down and take a survey via computer or form and those can vary between 20 minutes to 2 hours.

Craigslist is also a great way to find them as well. I believe they are found in the job listings site. I've done some for candy when I was younger through the mall... and my bf has done some through Craigslist for tech gadgets.

Hope that helps!
