I'm just curious if my fellow beauties are ever inspired by odd things. :)
For example, my makeup today is based on how immensely dilated my eyes are after today's trip to the eye doctor.
I matched my eyeliner to my pupils. A thick line of shiny black to match the dilation and void like appearance. Haha!
I took a picture of this and put it in my profile for reference. It isn't a crazy avant-garde look at all, but something wearable inspired by a random event.
Anyone have similar stories or am I just weird? x)

I've been really inspired by the Game of Thrones novels lately, which is probably weird lol. I'm always inspired by nature, the night skies and sunsets here have been crazy lately!

I don't know if it's weird but I get inspired by comics and books all the time. And music. I'd dress and put make-up on according to the music I hear as I'm getting ready.

My kitten.. he has these dark bronzy rings around his eyes and they gradually fade into white. I mean, obviously I don't give myself raccoon eyes, haha! But, he really makes me want to wear a bronze smokey eye somedays! :)

Lately, I'm more influenced by music and film than anything else. After watching Hedwig & The Angry Inch a few days ago, I've been listening to the soundtrack. I love the makeup in the film as well...yeah, it's drag but it's glam-rock drag.
And I've been giving more thought to unconventional beauty because of all this; Patti Smith, Tilda Swinton, Kristen McMenamy at the forefront.

My sons eyes inspired me, he has the prettiest bright deep blue eyes!!

Kristin - I love nature looks as well :) I think that sunset colors (reds, oranges, purples) always go very well together.
Lex - Musical inspiration sounds awesome! I'll have to try that next time i'm deciding on a look.

Madison - That's adorable! I'm so jealous of people with eyes like that. And sodas and desserts sound like excellent inspiration! Very bright colors!

today I saw a picture of ke$ha and was really inspired not to wear my makeup like that everyday, but to be her for halloween so I could go all out and do her crazy makeup! lol or lady gaga, hmm not sure! I just love going all out and doing crazy makeup and halloween is a great excuse!

@ Soma S. I know! Women in comics look amazing. Especially the new noir ladies. The guys aren't bad either. Heh. Though I have to admit, the mangas are more fashion forward, clothes-wise.
