My love with body modification started when I was 13. I became obsessed with the actual process & journey one takes when stretching their skin. I pretty much mastered the art of stretching, healing, thickening & reading the skin.

At 14 (2006), I decided to start stretching my ear lobes myself. I fell in love with it & have since had a huge passion for it.
At 16, I reached my goal size of 1-3/4''. Sadly, at the age of 18, I had to downsize to 1'' for multiple reasons but still love them just as equally.
Now it's sad seeing how many kids just stuck plastic tapers into their ears every week to stretch & are now left with "butthole" ears because they don't 'like them anymore' - but to each their own! lol

(would include pics, but it wont let me attach when making a topic, I'll attach later)

Do you guys have any body mods? Piercings, scarification, stretching, etc. I'd LOVE to see! Include pics!! <3

Does it grow back?

You don't technically cut anything out, so there's nothing to grow back. You stretch it, but to a point, it does shrink back to it's normal state. Especially if it was done properly. But after a certain size, it's safe to say your lobes would never go back to a normal 20-16g piercing. :)

I SO wanted to get this done but I keep stopping myself. lol.

Idk, I kind of want to educate myself in it more before I actually do the piercing.

After 23 years I am proud to share that I just got my ears pierced for the first time today! Haha- I know I'm a noob but I gotta start somewhere. In the meantime I am super stoked to go shopping for earrings.

I'm such a baby. In 7th grade everybody had gauges and I always thought they were cool so I tried a 12 gauge? Yknow? Which isn't even big AT ALL by any means. I already had my ears pierced so I bought some and got my friend to put the 12s in and yeah. It was terrible. I was like waaaaaah and I got one in and didn't do the other one. I have my belly button pierced though. I love it.

What happens if you want to make it shrink back to its normal size? You just take the round thing out and your ear just dangles there until it looks normal again?

I tried gauging my ears a while back and got up to....I wanna say like a 6? It wasn't for me, so I took them out. I also had my monroe pierced, but had to take that out as well (I didn't want to! I miss it so badly). I'm thinking of getting it repierced and maybe do my lip as well.
Also, when I was 17 i was an idiot and pierced my own nose with an ear piercing gun. I had no CLUE that piercings like that were done with a hollow needle...OUCH.

@ Saoirse R. & Chelsey M. - I actually want to get my nose pierced. Hows the healing process? Does it take long? I love the way it looks.^_^

@ Michelle O. - CONGRATS!!!! That's awesome! Enjoy shopping for them! lol

@ Alyssa R. - Oh yeah, you definitely have to be educated to do it. You also have to consider it as a permanent body mod too. because you never know how your body might react & they might not shrink, you know? lol - It's a good thing you didn't just jump into it!!

@ Erica H. - Yes, they literally just hang all wobbly & holy w/ nothing in them. hahaha

Andrea, mine healed BEAUTIFULLY. It didn't take long at all before I could change the jewelry. To get it done, it took about ten minutes to prepare and whatnot but after that, they just shoved a needle in my nose and then looped the jewelry through. The initial puncture did hurt (I'm kind of a baby haha) but that's it. NOTHING else hurt at ALL. It does make your eyes water up because of the nerves around that area but yea, aside from the initial puncture which lasts like a second, it doesn't hurt. :) I got it done almost 3 years ago too.

all i have are 2 lobe piercings on each side. my job doesn't let me have anything more but i've always thought of getting my nose pierced

I can't even count my tattoos... 50% of my body
had every thing pierced at one time and took it all out...

Thanks!!! Also, do break outs ever interfere with the piercing? I've never had anything on the face pierced & I get breakouts (whiteheads) on the side of my nose frequently - would that interfere?

I've never had a problem with my nose piercing. As long as you keep it clean and don't touch it with unclean hands (especially in the very beginning) you should be fine :)

I gauged my ears last year, and I love them! The funny thing is my mom saw them and she wanted to do it to.

I have my lobes pierces...two on left and one on right. Had my navel pierced years ago but it rejected. I also have a "tramp stamp" lol. Tattoos are so addictive...I've wanted another for a while, just need to decide what...something with cherry blossoms maybe...
