Urban Decay or TooFaced palette?

I'm looking for a good palette of neutral eyeshadow colors. I've been lusting after the Naked palette by Urban Decay, but it seems that there are quite a lot of shimmery colors in there (which I wouldn't be comfortable wearing to work) although it does have a nice matte taupe color. The TooFaced neutral eye palette looks like it has more matte colors as well and is a little cheaper. Was just wondering if anyone has both of these palettes and could compare the two or recommend which one I should get? I'm on the fence!

Thanks! :)

I have both of these pallettes, and I have to say Urban Decays Naked pallette is one of my favorite purchases ever. BUT this is bc i love shimmery touches to my neutral looks. the toofaced pallette is cheaper bc it has less product, which makes sense. I like the toofaced neutral eye pallette enough, however, I feel its not very pigmented. You absolutely have to use a base under the colors, which I do anyways, but its not convenient. have you thought about the BH cosmetics neutral pallette? It has an array of neutral colors, w mattes shimmers and pearls, and its really quite cheap for how much product you get! also, these can be used w or without a base and still be very well pigmented. I hope this helped a little bit, and I really hope youre happy w whatever you pick!

I like the Naked Palette. You can probably tone down the shimmer a lot if you are worried about that. I don't own the other palette but it looks smaller and doesn't have as much product. With the Naked palette you also get a mini UDPP and a brush so thats good too!

I'd suggest getting the Naked Palette. It's a gorgeous palette.

Looking at the palette size and cost for Two Faced, you get more value for your dollar with Urban Decay. Two Faced palettes are $35 and you only get a total of 0.39 oz of shadow. With Urban Decay you get 0.60 oz of shadows PLUS a primer and brush for $48 ($13 difference).

Two Faced: Size: 3 x 0.07 oz eye shadows/ 6 x 0.03 oz eyeshadows

Urban Decay: - 12 x 0.05 oz shadows, Good Karma Eyeshadow Brush (retails for $22) and 0.13 oz Travel-size Eyeshadow Primer Potion (retails for $9)

My recommendation, get the Urban Decay.

Thanks so much for the input everyone! It seems like the Urban Decay palette would be a good investment =)

I think I'm a little late commenting on this, but I just wanted to let you know that I totally agree with everyone on this one! I have the Urban Decay Naked Palette... and I seriously use it every day!!

i have the too faced neutral eye palette and it is amazingggggg! For dark haired girls, the matte colors can be used to fill in your brows. Also, you can use the eyeshadows not only to create a neutral look, but also a smokey brown look if you wanted. so overall it is great for many looks and lasts a long time. Hope this helpeddd!

Urban Decay but if you don't want shimmer there are only 3 matte colors in this palette.

to be honest with you, i would skip both and go for the coastal scents warm palette. matte shadows with good pigmentation and a wide variety. i have the UD palette and i love it but if shimmer makes you uncomfortable, it's not worth it. if you have a target nearby, id check and see if you can find elf's little black book of beauty in volume 1 and 2. i think 2 is the more neutral one but those are absolutely amazing at $5 a piece!

If you prefer a matte finish, Sigma's Bare Palette is another option at $35. It also comes with a dual-ended brush (E30 Pencil & E25 Blending).
