I see beauty guru's and bloggers everywhere wearing false eyelashes, so I decided I HAD to give them a try. I have never been interested in them, I don't really think I am. I just wanted to try them for fun. I was at target looking for some elf brushes and noticed that they sell false lashes, and for only 1$. I couldn't pass this up, so I bought them. man, oh man, I had no idea where to start. I read the instructions very carefully, and then read them again. I did my make-up, took them out of the box, and put the glue on them. - I don't know if elf's were the best to begin with because the glue bottle is really weird. I don't think other's are like that. Anyways, I started with my right eye. I think it took me a total of 5 times, but I FINALLY got it to stick! The left eye went much better! Over-all it was a success. All I can say is practice makes perfect because the second time around it was much easier for me! Will I be wearing false lashes out and about, probably not. I may wear them for some pictures, or just for fun. It ended up being so much easier to then I thought! Oh and (Karen) they were really easy to take off! I didn't have any problems with getting them off at all! no worries! (:
Which one's do your recommend, do you wear them?

I can't wear false lashes. My lashes are SOO insanely naturally curly & long that whenever I try, the false lash gets almost stuck with my actual lashes & wont go on. My natural lashes are ALWAYS in the way. They kind of get tangled together.
Those lashes look GREAT on you! Are those the dramatic ones?

lmbo. They are elf's 1$ false lashes. They look really good in the picture, but you can tell that they aren't real. They are fun to take pictures with! :)

I dislike ELF lashes... [they look really good in your photo though!] they're so thin and delicate due to their construction, almost too flimsy to make application easy... but you don't have to spend $$$ to get good lashes! If you want bang for your buck, try MODEL21 lashes you can purchase from Ebay. It's an Asian brand of lashes the come in packs of 12 or more, and they're like $10 a box! That's cheaper than ELF lashes, and you get something SUPER durable that can be used anywhere from 5-20 uses if you take care of them. They're my absolute FAVORITES!
I did makeup for a bridesmaid that decided she wanted lashes last minute, and insisted I used hers [which were ELF ones] and it was very difficult for me to use with the glue it came with. I used mine, and it worked... but they were complete goners by the time the night ended. I much prefer using lashes that can be reused over and over to get the most value out of it,
Try the MODEL21's if you can. You won't be disappointed. =)

I wear false lashes daily....for me they give me that extra 'umph' even without makeup and its probably because my natural lashes are 2 seconds long literally....I have Ardells/Salon Perfect/Red Cherry/NYX....and my good old DUO glue...I have very natural Adrell demi wispies as my everyday lashes although you may catch me rocking Red Cherries 747M if I want some flare!

I love Ardell, Salon Perfect, Andrea, and Red Cherry lahes! My favorite ones to wer are the Ardell/Salon Perfect demi wispies. I prefer 100% human hair lashes. Though some that aren't are pretty decent.

You had great success for it being your first time. I remember the first time I tried lashes...it was disastrous, but you're right! Practice makes perfect! The lashes look great on you.
I think my fave brand of the ones I've used is Ardell, but I haven't used many. I'll have to check out the ones on Ebay that @Soma mentioned!

Practice does make perfect. I'm glad you were willing to give them a try, so many people can't be bothered. A real shame, since they can give such a nice effect.
Congrats. :]

Hah. Andrea, I had no idea what you were talking about! See how inexperienced I am with false eyelashes! I looked on the box, they are the dramatic ones!

I wear flash lashes when I want the full look but my eyelashes are naturally long and with mascara they already look fake. But I love lashes for a more dramatic look.

I really do love the way they look but sometimes I chicken out when it comes to wearing them in the daytime. I'll take all the time to put them on, only to peel them off before I actually step out! I haven't tried too many brands but so far I've been impressed with the Mac "wings" and Ardell's line of Fashion Lashes (Black 125 are my current favs).

Angela, I know exactly what you mean! I get scared that they are going to start coming off during the day...that would be so embarrasing so I don't even risk it! :)

@Nykki... I'm afraid of them coming off too!! and that someone will notice I'm wearing lashes and think I was trying too hard. Just when I think I'm all Miss Confident the truth is revealed! Ugh, I wish I could just own it, cuz I love the look. But no : (
