To find and keep a hobby, it has to be something you're truly passionate about. If I'm not 100% into something, I'll be bored of it in a few weeks, so try a bit of everything, maybe even go back to some old hobbies, and see what you can't go without! :)

Seems like every time around this year, someone in my group of friends and acquaintances picks up knitting! Not like it's a bad thing, but it always coincides with the cold... and I have to admit, I've been spotted a few times at local knitting groups... hahah.

There are so many things you can learn via the internet and YouTube! Knitting was one thing I learned... also, to play the ukulele [but I can only play a few songs that have repetitive chords]. I think learning an instrument is always a great way to build character, and it's always a nice quirk I appreciate when meeting someone new and finding out they play.

Baking/Cooking is another thing many of my friends do... check out www.tastespotting.com for MAJOR FOOD PORN and recipies. Food photography is another thing many of my friends are into.

If I were to do a beauty-related hobby, I did dabble in making my own OCM face washes, tinted lip balms and face masks. Beautylish in itself is another thing I consider a hobby...

I would say you abstain from any hobby that requires "collecting" something... just because if you're on Beautylish, you already know what kind of trouble that can get you into...  =P

It's definitely not a beauty related hobby, but I raise mice. It started on a whim and became a real passion of mine.
Another one would be following a sport maybe? I follow hockey closely.

I like to think about makeup as my hobby. Studying makeup, creating looks on myself and friends, recreating looks, play with different techniques, brushes, colors ect. And of course collecting makeup. I would LOVE to be able to make a living of this in the future!

Face mask: egg whites, avocados, honey, aspirin, etc... OCM oils.
Lip balm: old broken lipsticks with Vaseline.

Pretty simple stuff. Meant to say face mask. =]

I always get back into knitting this time of year! Yarns are usually on sale at craft and fabric stores and you can easily duplicate new/hot trends and styles on your own. It's been cold here in California for a few weeks and I have already knitted a beanie and am working on a scarf! Unfortunately for me, this hobby dies out when the temperature starts to rise again!
