I'm thinking of starting a makeup blog on tumblr, or even just posting a few makeup related posts on my regular tumblr blog, and I was just wondering if any of you had any advice for starting one? I'm not sure what all I should include in reviews and tips besides name, brand, color, price.. so, any tips would be appreciated!!!!

keep up with it and promote. if you dont post regularly (or at least make a schedule of 3 posts a week or something), people could lose interest. i have a blog but i don't give it much love.. i'm pretty lazy with it haha
but definitely promote. no one will know your blog is there if you don't show them, right? :)

I think if your not going to post on it all the time then you could just add a few posts on your original tumblr it's hard handling 1 blog let alone managing 2 lol goodluck!

WITH ANY SOCIAL NETWORK YOU MAKE, IF THEY CAN LINK (LIKE WHAT YOU POST ON FACBOOK CAN UPDATE UR TWITTER) IT WOULD BE GOOD, SO THAT WAY YOU DONT HAVE TO WORK TWICE AS HARD. STAY UP TO DATE WITH ALL THE NEW TRENDS & MAKEUP LOOKS. ITS HARD, BUT IT PAYS OFF.

Keep up with the blog. At least 3 posts a week. Anything less than that or if you only post when you remember to do so is a great way to lose your following. Just remember to have fun with it.

Stay true to yourself with your blog! Don't do something because everyone is doing it. Do something that you are truly passionate about because that is when you can write the best things! But you do also want to do something that will interest everyone! I would recommend to start out with an about me post so everyone can get to know you a little better and also mention what you plan on doing. I am new to blogging but I absolutely am IN LOVE with it! I always am finding new ways and things to do with my blog! I actually brought my boyfriend into it to help me out with graphic design and it is turning into the biggest hobby I have ever done But I love it! If you create one please send me the link I would love to check it out!

My advice would be to decide now what you want to focus on so that you have direction and don't feel too torn in a million directions! If you're blog is somewhat focused I think it's easier to attract and keep your readers, since you'll keep posting things they're interested in. Have fun with it :)
