i never bought a "set" at first, I purchased sonia kashuk brush box sets, individual ones & then added sigma, mac, & sephora brushes as i went along. Target has elf and there essentials line which carry great brushes too!!!
Honestly i purchased a brush set a year ago from sephora for $45 it came with 3 face brushes and 4 eyeshadow/tools it was a great addition and some of my favorite brushes.
MAC every December carries mini travel set brush kits too they are great and full of there best seller brushes! i bought 2 over the past few years and i honestly do not regret it!!

Try looking into Sedona Lace vortex set! I've been ogling those brush shapes forever, since those are the types I most reach for and look the most usable! I hate buying sets only to find I use 2-3 out of the entire set, and the rest is waste!

3 options I have in luv with every single of this companies <3
1. CROWBRUSH (affordable, yet great quality) a minimum of $25.00 dollars is required though :-/
2. REAL TECHNIQUES brushes by SAMANTHA CHAPMAN (so soft you want to melt with them, they are great quality) price I think they range between $16 to $18 dollars... don't rememebr how much were the ones I bought, lol.
3.Sigma Brushes are the greatest brushes literally, but they are a bit pricey, so if you feel ready to spend a bit more but for a WOW in a brush go for SIGMA <3
Hope that helps :)))))))
