Fringe/bangs or not?

Hey girls.

I'm considering getting a straight cut fringe again ('bangs' for those of you who don't use 'fringe') - I'm moving to London in January (thinking weather wise) and I really like my hair to be low maintenance.

Do you find your fringe/bangs easy to maintain? I would straighten them of course - I do that anyway. But day to day - does it bother you or is it no problem?

What products do you use, if any, to make it easier?

Half my hair is bright pink - so you wouldn't think I had low-maintenance hair haha! But honestly, the pink I use has such good staying power - it really is easy.

I say you should definitely get them :)

Since you're moving to London, I think a Londoner could give you some good advice. ;) I used to have a full fringe which was pretty easy to maintain if you're not adverse to using heat every time you wash your hair.

The problem is the weather. I have natural beach-waves and the kinks and waves break free whenever there's rain or wind, and lets face it: the UK in general is infamous for it's horrible weather. You could probably go about two days at a time before having to re-straighten. That's my experience anyway.

Hope this helped!

I just make sure i use a heat protectant spray on mines because the first time i straightened mine without and broke the ends and it looked crazy i love the treseme heat protectent spray and make sure you do it before you blow dry and before you straighten you will get a smooth shiny finish

Terra - omg I was like that, I get too lazy to keep them trimmed so just push them to the side haha.

Jennie and Bianca - thank you! :D I've not tried the treseme heat protectant spray, I have others though. and I'm okay with straightening the fringe every couple of days - aslong as it's just the fringe lol. That doesn't take too long.
With the rest of my hair - it's quite long, so when the weather is crap, I usually just tie it up.

I could live with that.
I might wait till I get to London to do it I think. Get settled and go to a proper hairdresser - if I can find a nice one. ahh! I don't know many people in the UK lol.

Ainslie - that's a fantastic idea about curling them under pin up style - I'm obsessed with pinup everything haha.
And yessss, B&B prep is amazing. Thanks for the suggestion :D I love everything from bumble ahaha.

I think that fringe is a great way to dress up your hair without having to style all of it but it gets kind of expensive to maintain if you don't learn to cut it yourself! I suggest weighing your options on it all. If it's straight fringe, that's more maintenance to upkeep because it tends to grow fast.
