So, basically, I have big eyes. Like, I look like some bug-eyed monster without my mountain of eyeliner. Any good makeup styles/tutorials out there for me? Preferably something simple, when I don't wanna spend forever with eyeliner and blending eyeshadow.

Help? :(

Black eyelinr is a must-tightline and waterline(smudging might help) and stick with purples, browns, rusty red-like colors. Links: http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080107034444AA504zs

I def. agree with Skye W. - also try to incorporate more colors into the look! If you use just one solid color on your lids, it'll make your eyes stand out more since there is a color block effect when using just one solid color on your lid. If you use multiple colors, it'll break up your eye area into smaller sections and be of less focus when looking at your face straight on. Hope that made sense, and hope it helps!

I have massive eyeballs. I try not to make them look smaller, just shape them with makeup/eyeliner so they look more, normal. Without makeup my eyes are super big and round looking, but with a little cat-eye liner, and some clever colors and placement, they look great!

I have huge eyes too. I like to concentrate colors to my lower/mobile lid. I blend up mid way throughout my huge lid w a blending shade and skip a highlight. I have a lot of space between my lashes and brows and only fill the entire space w color occasionally.

Black eyeliner on the upper and lower waterlines, and try a thin long winged liner on the top lash to give your eyes more of an almond shape!

So scared to play with colors, but I guess I'll have to try! I usually do kinda thick eyeliner, with liner in my waterline, and a dark purple-bronzy kinda smokey eye. I know most people want big eyes, but I sooooo don't get it.

I'll keep everyone's tips in mind. Pictures of examples of styles or how-to videos would be EXTREMELY helpful, as I'm more of a visual learner, but I'll try. :)

This is a good example of what I was trying to say... There's no solid color to draw attention to her lids... And it's quite natural. The black liner all around narrows her eye opening more for that cat-eye look, and she has the glitter on the bottom lash line (considered a "section" of her eye)... The crease has two colors... A mid-tone brown and a hint of a dark grey to give it a small amount of depth. A light color for lid and brow bone highlight... But notice the shade on the lid isn't as reflective to not attract so much attention to it. Hope that helps!

Yeah! I usually tend to go a lot darker with my colors. I feel weird when I wear eyeliner but no obvious eyeshadow, not sure why. Also, I don't have too much space between the top of my eye and my brow, so this might not be as possible... I'll have to test it out, though. Thanks for all the help! :)

Try intensifying darker colors on your inner eyelid/ tearduct. It closes off the eye, giving it more of a sleepy, sultry, edgy look.

Never thought of that. Makes sense though, if light colors there make the eye look bigger and everything. I will give it a go.

The best way to accommodate your eyes is to embrace them! They're gorgeous and they make you unique. I think you should, if anything, emphasize on their beauty. After all, you are beautiful just as you are.

Ashley, I am so glad you asked this question. I researched Youtube and could not find anything on this topic. I have a lot of lid and crease space, and I get confused on how I should do my eye make up sometimes. Sometimes I make my crease area higher to help.

The amount of lid space I have is insane. I never know what to do with it! I've been using the tips I've gotten here, and what I've been able to do has worked like a charm! I don't feel like I have a huge block of color on my eyes like I used to when I'd do a smokey eye. Now I kinda do a reverse smokey eye if that makes any sense, and I really like it.

And Likewater, I feel like it's so hard to find help making eyes look smaller because everyone's so busy trying to make theirs look bigger. Honestly, I wish mine were smaller a lot of the time, it'd be less work. But oh well, gotta work with what we're given. I just try to remember that some girls would kill to have our big eyes!

Black liner makes them appear smaller!
