Hello beauties :) I am working with a salon to create a Makeup Workshop series. The idea is hands-on instruction and demonstration on how to do basic makeup application. Some of the ideas I've been brewing are:
How to use brushes
How to use what's in YOUR makeup bag
DIY wedding day makeup
What sorts of workshops would you want to go to?

How to blend!!! I know how to blend but I'm amazed at the people who don't! I work with about 16 girls and I'm always telling them 'blend your foundation. Blend your blush into you powder. Blend your eyeshadows!' lines of denarkatiion are not pretty!
Maybe a just getting started? It'll kind of show a few tips you realize once youve been doing make up for a little while.
I don't know if other people would be interested in these buti know some people I would send to them.

Thank you for the suggestion, Erica! Yes, blending is absolutely KEY!!!!!!! Lack of blending is definitely a kiss of death to a flawless makeup application. That would definitely be a great workshop topic.
Keep the suggestions comin!

I absolutely agree with teaching how to blend! It took me YEARS to finally understand and it wasn't until I starting watching all of these amazing you tube gurus did I learn!
Also, makeup tricks for your eye shape/ face shape. That's something that I think would be helpful for people to learn!

An in depth class that focuses on color theory, textures and finishes for beginners in makeup might help. Many that just start out are mind-boggled and overwhelmed by how to use color together and many people can easily make the mistake of using too much shimmer in everything they use, and not understand why they aren't happy with the way they look. Teaching the class so your students understand balance between mattes/shimmers/glossy/dewey will help ANYONE! =]

Mari, thank you for the suggestion! That's something that I think a lot of people want to learn how to do but are intimidated by it, so it's a great idea!
Soma, I've actually had this conversation several times about where to apply shimmer, highlight, etc. and you're totally right, it really in confusing at first for many people! This would definitely be something awesome to offer people!
Everyone, thank you so much for these AMAZING suggestions!! I appreciate it so much and hope they keep coming :)
