Skin is usually a big thing; in that you want it to be quite polished without looking over perfected. Subtle highlighting and contouring is quite helpful, because it will bring out the shape of the face without adding a lot of colour.
Colour palettes tend to be quite neutral with relatively flat textures, to mimic the natural finish of the skin. Of course there are some exceptions; quite often you'll see some shine on the lips, a soft shimmer on the lid or a subtle glow to the skin.
Think of the ads you see for skin care, cleansers, moisturizers.. a very fresh, clean looking face. In my mind, clean makeup is often (but not always) the base for the traditional polished bridal look.

I always (in the evening) remove all the makeup, then wash my face with warm water. Then I take toothbrush (dont use the same on your teeth) and gentle mAssage your face (Pelling)..after that dry your face and apply cream (I used a mix of argan oil, regular creme and apricot oil)
I hope that I helped! Sorry for what is not spelled correctly! Xooxo
