Hi all! So over the past few years I have been getting more and more gray hair. Its gotten to the point now where its extremely noticeable (a lot of it is in my bangs). I've used the Lush henna dye before and its worked well, but it doesn't last very long and can be pricey. I've been looking at the boxed dyes at the drugstore, but there's so many options! I'm looking for a dark dark brown or black color, and preferably semi-permanent...any suggestions on good brands??

Hey, before you go box (which can be old and expired) try going to Sally's or any beauty supply. It's not hard to mix your own color, and the ladies there are usually pretty helpful! Also on a side note, semi-permanent will not cover gray. You will probably need a permanent color.

thanks for the suggestion, Jen! I did actually end up dying it this morning to my natural color (I used a semi permanent dye - the Clairol Natural Instincts). It actually did cover my grays very well, which was surprising! I was able to cover them with a henna dye a few months ago, so it could just be that my grays, while annoying, aren't too stubborn. I will definitely look into that next time...though I can't think of any beauty supply store around me unfortunately. lol

I'm glad it covered! That's awesome! Grays suck!
