I put my dryer on med.-low heat and scrunch my hair with the defuser. I put product on my hair beforehand to further define the curls too (lanza curl define & redken root effects) hope that helps:)

when my hair was long I would just grab a handful of hair, scrunch it in my hand and then hold it in the defuser and then move onto the next bit.

I have long curly hair that I usually wear straight. However; when I want to wear it curly I want lots of fullness. I apply my product in sections (I section may hair in four parts) then I sit down (cause my hair takes a long time to dry) sort of like your profile picture, and diffuse my hair in small sections. Instead of using my hands to scrunch it, I will just place the dryer at the end of my hair and use it to sort of push my hair up towards my scalp. Then I flip over to the other side and go back and forth until my hair is dry.

Here is how I do it, this way will get me really nice wavey curls and they will last ALL DAY. Put some mousse in your hair... take sections and twirl the hair, kind of twisting it, then put a small section in the diffuser. Turn the blow dryer on and leave the hair pushed up against your head for a few minutes. Then slowly bring it down, and sort of push the hair up and down on the diffuser. Then release, and move onto another section of hair. You're going to want your hair damp but not wet for this.
You can check out my YT channel, I planned on making a tutorial on how to do this here in the future. The link should be below. =) Hope this helps! I think using a diffuser is underrated!

If you have a diffuser that will can also add volume, they look kind of spikey...I'll apply my hair products to damp hair then flip my head upside down and use the diffuser to cup the hair and I'll push it all the way up to my scalp and circle it around a few times and keep doing that to all sections. When my hair is about 80% dry I blast it with hairspray, and continue to dry upside down. My end result is big voluminous hair with lots of curl.
