@Jordan There really isn't just one reason that I can pin point that makes me want to study women and gender studies, it's just been a large part of my life being a feminist and dealing with the constant oppression in my culture and community. In my last few years of high school a volunteer and activist club that I was in wanted to put on the play The Vagina Monologues and we encountered so many obstacles it just shocked me how anti vagina everyone was. I read up on some feminist literature and what I read and learned blew me away. The amount internalized misogyny that females have is just ridiculous. So I want to become more educated in that area in order to write about it and just be more active in the feminist movement. This is a great read I highly recommend it

I have a BA in Public Relations but I did Visual Communications (Graphic Design) in art college before heading to Uni. Frankly, I've been using the skills I picked up in art school more than I do my degree. I was doing freelance graphics jobs while I was studying in Uni and I'm still doing it now.
Haven't used my degree to get a job at all. Except once, but I'd prefer not to talk about that. Needless to say, I don't do well in... Yuppified, 9 to 5 environs. Although! The BA has come in handy now that I'm sort of being nudged towards artist management.
