What advice would you give on writing a book. I wanna start around christmas when i get a new laptop I just don't know how to start and what to write about it. Any advice..

Planning is essential. Write out the basics of the story so that it's laid out well and then once you have an idea where you're going to go with the story, write the whole thing out.

Also I'd recommend writing character profiles: give them an interesting history maybe or certain personality quirks, also think of a way for the character to grow. Character development is usually well appreciated.

In the end, proofread. Get someone else to read it as well and get their honest opinion on it.
