Today I'm having one of those days when I just don't feel like myself. I'm slumpy, tired, uninspired, unenthusiastic. I don't know why, like, I had a fabulous weekend hanging out with friends, got a pedi yesterday.. I don't understand. I was up for an hour and I just gave up and crawled back to bed, where I am right now.
So I want to know, how do you get back to you? On those cloudy days, how do you bring out your sunshine? On those days when your brain won't quit back tracking and playing over your woulda-shoulda-couldas, what keeps you going?

I force myself to get out of the house and do something...whether its just walking around a mall, going to the gym, going to the movies, a bike ride, going out for lunch/dinner. Something that gets me out of the house for more than an hour or so.

That's a good idea, maybe I'll see if a friend wants to grab a coffee later or something. I thought redoing my nails might cheer me up a bit first though (:

I work out when I am in a funk! It really does help me out tremendously!

Like Jackee I also work out or I'll turn on some upbeat music (usually 80's music) and dance around my house :)

I do the same as Heather, if you force yourself to get out of the environment that's putting you in a slump, it could do you some good. Also, try to think of a new activity or place to check out. Some inspiration can definitely pull you out of a funk! :)

Aw! I think we all have those days, but usually I just think of something productive to do and make it creative and fun. The trick to motivation is to finding/making the end result to be something desirable and worth working for. Once you can do that, you just have to give yourself one push, and once things start coming together, you won't want to stop.
Also, whenever I am having a crazy/hectic week, I always find time to indulge in something I love doing alone like reading, checking out new music, shopping, working out, or even just going for a drive. I have been known around my work office to come back from my lunch hour with sephora bags on extremely bad days. ; )
Just find what makes you happy and try to involve that in your life at the moment, if that doesn't work, try something new! It doesn't have to always cost anything, or require much time.
Hope you get to feeling better!

I usually will listen to upbeat, party music and it gets me in a good mood. :)
