I'm looking for a good beauty serum for skin that's in it's late 20s. I'm a smoker and I've noticed my skin is getting stressed out in certain areas.
I want to add a serum to my beauty routine. Any suggestions?

I would visit a counter to get a better feel for the products, but Shiseido is pretty great stuff and they have different products for your skin type. I've heard some pretty great things about Lancome skin care as well.

Hi Kristina,
Thanks for the suggestion.
I'm sampling the Dior Capture Totale One Essential serum and it does make my skin feel tighter and more hydrated.
Thanks :)

Dee, please stop smoking girl! It's all bad for you inside and out!
I've recently been using Yes to Bluberries Intensive Skin Repair Serum and I've been loving the glow its been bringing to my face (http://btyl.sh/lWuaRp). You can also try this D.I.Y. face serum recipe: http://www.beautylish.com/a/vmgvi/vitamin-c-serum Good luck!

Estee Lauder's Advanced Night Repair serum was one of my favorites - and Tanya from Pixiwoo2 loves that stuff too.
I stopped using it though since I switched over to CeraVe's PM moisturizer. It's a great staple for me, and easily accessible and affordable at drugstores. =)

I'm currently using SkinCeuticals Hydrating B5 gel and I LOVE it. I use it right before my moisturizer, 2 times a day, about 5 drops all over my fave. My skin is very dehydrated, it's dry in areas but also gets oily and this has helped a lot. It's pretty expensive though.

A little late on this update but I've been smoke-free for 4 months now! Longest I've ever gone ;-)
Also, I've been using Estee Lauder Advanced Repair Serum for the past 6 month and I'm in love with it. My skin's tone has evened out and it's done wonders with oil control.
Any other suggestions are welcome as I love discovering/researching new products :-)

^Dee, congrats! I know how hard it is! I haven't used the advanced night repair in a while, but I just finished the Ole Henrikson vitamin c truth serum and loved it! It has a slight black licorice scent to it, but it def brightened my face and improved skin tone for me! I still like both, but if I had to choose, it'd def. be the truth serum! Check it out at sephora if you can!
