I am going out to the city (Philadelphia) tomorrow (Saturday June 4) for my 30th bday. I am wearing a pink dress with these really awesome pearls (gotta wear pearls... its my birthstone). I will put a picture of the dress below. I am trying to figure out my makeup. I was thinking a smokey gray eye with tarina tarantino sparkles sparklicity "pure" on top. But I was wondering what you guys would do. I dont have many choices in lip color b/c I always end up wearing a bown, bricky, or nude lip. I want to make my eyes POP!!! I need suggestions. I want to look HOT!!! HELP!

Now dont mind the actual picture itself. I look horrible!! But this is the dress. What makeup would you wear? We are doing dinner and then going to upscale bars.

ohhhh... that sounds like it would be pretty. I would need to check my collection to see if I have a pretty pink. Its not a normal color that I would purchase but it may be in one of my palettes. Thanks for the advise.

I see that you have a blog and youtube. You dont by any chance have any videos or pictures of what you are explaining?

I really like the idea of a gold eye and a pink lip, looks fun and different! : )

I love that look... except I dont own any pink lipsticks. I have never found any that actually look good on me. I keep meaning to buy a pink and when I go to the store I buy something more nude. :(

Everything else about this look is pretty though but I dont have the lip

You can always create a pink lip with some balm and a little bit of blush! Or just pat a little pink blush over your nude lipstick and finish with a clear gloss. Sometimes I use those "cheats" when I don't have the right color out of the tube. PS. Happy Birthday!

I like that idea. I will try it. And thank you for the birthday wish.

I think all the suggestions are great, but I had to chime in with lashes! Lashes elevate any look. Even a pair of half lashes (super easy to apply) can really add that wow factor.

I hope you have a fabulous birthday & a great night out! :D

I am a fan of green and pink, so I would go for a green smokey eye, I also think most greens look good with blue eyes. Golds also make blue eyes stand out really well so maybe a dark brown or black smoky eye that fades into a gold color?
Happy Birthday Darling I hope is is wonderful!!!!!

I love all these suggestions, but if anyone has any pictures or tutorials of what they like... that would be wonderful. I love to get ideas from other peoples pictures. I do own a few BH Cosmetics palettes so I have alot of colors to choose from. I know that this is alot to ask... I just want to look 100% perfect for all the pictures that will be taken. Thanks beauties.

gold look, not so much a smoky eye but I still think it would work

This is more smokey goldish look.

I personally would have gone with something like MAC's Expensive Pink (orange-y/pink) all over with Urban Decay's Creep (shimmery black <3) in the corners to darken it up, but maybe I would actually just wear that in general since I'm really wanting to try it out. :3 Haha.

That is actually a great idea. It's close to what I was originally thinking except I was thinking more of a gray crease. I am about to sit down and start my makeup. At this point I think that I am going for something more neutral since the dress is kinda loud.

I wanted to thank everyone for their input. I ended up doing a silvery/neutral eye. I did try a few of your ideas but it seemed like to much with the hot pink dress. I spent 3 hours trying out so much stuff and ended up going with something more neutral. I always want to be more bold but never end up doing it. I do it on my friends, just not myself.
