Crackling Nail Polish.
you've seen the magazine ads! Katy Perry's new O.P.I. Teenage Dream collection the black color in this collection is crazy!!!
What you do is you take your favorite colorful nail polish and put it on.
After it has completely dried put on the "Black Shatter" by O.P.I. and let the magic happen!
after that's been completely dried, just put on a layer of top coat! and you are all set!
be careful when you put the "Black Shatter" on because it dries really fast and also when your done with it, make sure you put the top on really tight otherwise it'll dry up and it'll be all ruined! :(

I finally found it today in my local Ulta. I call every Monday to see if they have any in stock; they did. Today, I randomly walk and they had it in stock<3 I love it! Couldn't wait to get home and use it. I purchased Crackle by China Glaze, I found it kind of thick. I love Shatter by OPI<3

Andrea, I've seen cheaper versions of it. I'm totally with you though, O.P.I. is totally over priced! I have at least 5o nail polishes in my collection and only 2 are O.P.I

OPI & Crackle Glaze are actually not that far in price point but you do have to shop around for sales to get the best deal on Crackle Glaze.

i got mine at a hair salon after a bit of searching.. i live in a big city so all the ones in the city were out of stock.. then i went to a smaller city right on the outskirts of mine and bought it.. go figure-right after i found it there, i went upstairs to the mac, and they had the Pink Power MSF from the WW collection that had also been impossible to find here cause they had already ran out everywhere.. so suburban hair salons/malls FTW :D
i like it a lot.. i have a friend who thinks it just looks like cracked polish but the rest love it since you can see the colour beneath it.. plus, its really fun to watch it separate! mine came in a kit with a golden/olive colour by serena or venus williams with it and they go perfectly together :D

@ Vanessa T - I paid $14 for it too, found it on amazon.com. But i was desperate and it was so worth it. i cannot wait for the silver shatter to come out in May!!
Does anyone remember the shatter nail polish launched in the early 2000s? I believe it was by Revlon? Funny how things go away and come back years later as if they were a brand new innovation.

@Mandy - Yeah, I wasn't sold immediately after seeing the first ads for the Black Shatter either, but it definitely grows on you. There's not enough innovation out there in nail polish, especially for top coats, i'm so sick of glitter. And i'm not talented enough at nail designs to do anything cool with them.
Does anybody know if it's possible to reserve bottles of the new silver shatter before it launches in May? I would totally pay another $14 as long as I could get it as soon as it hits shelves :)

The CG Crackle was only $4.50 at my local nail supply store...
TIP: to control the size of your cracked pieces...
1 thick coat if you want large broken pieces w/ wider cracks... but less pieces.
1 thin coat if you want small pieces w/ thinner cracks... and more broken pieces.

I paid $8 for my shatter at the hair salon, i doubt you will be able to reserve the silver,you just have to stay on top of the release hun, but I've never been a polish person I only wear it on my feet.if there wasn't so much hype round the product I wouldn't have bought it
