I own the MSF is Deep! If you are lighter and don't like the tan look on yourself I say go return it. If you don't want to, then use it as a bronzer/contour... Hope I helped.

Yes, I recommend you return it and get a lighter color. Sometimes, these professionals just want a "sale" so they will make you buy anything. Then there are those professionals who care for their customers needs and really listen and really help them out.

I read in a magazine that you can always return makeup. Even if you tried it on at home and it is open. I think it was in Cosmo.

I have a somewhat similar dilemma - I was on a Skin Detox Program at the time of getting the MSF. A product was causing adverse reaction and I lay off my usual products such as whitening etc.

My skin was getting uneven, and slightly darker(?). I've always been fair and my whitening products helped to brighten up my complexion.

Anyway, my skin tone kinda got darker, seeing that the BA insisted mine was NC30 when most of my friends said I lean more to NC25. So I got it in Medium. Now that I've resumed my usual regimen, the MSF made me look slightly darker, and there's a contrast on my face and neck.

We don't have a return policy here though. I'm still using it but topped it off with La Mer The Powder which have a nice sheerness that brightens up my skin.

I have had the same thing happen to me with the same product and I agree with some of the above comments about the sales assistants just wanting to sell you stuff so that they can get comission - I've been on both sides of the fence and its never good to sell something to someone just for the sake of selling it cos they are just never going to come back to you.

Anyways...I've realised that the lighting in shops is pretty misleading about the true color of the product. I have found that I get to be a lot happier with my purchases when I take the time to go out of the shop and examine the sample of the product on my hand in natural daylight. Ofcourse we don't always have time to do that but I think that if I am going to spend $50 on a foundation, I want to make sure I will use it and not throw it away when I get home.
Also I dont think that there is that many shades in the powder mineralized skin finish naturals cos they dont go by numbers - so less choice.
