So im in the process of moving back to Hollywood from the Mid West. Any tips on how to pack my makeup for airplane travel. And not on a carry on but in my checked bags. Im experimenting with some ideas (cotton balls & bubble wrap), but more hep wouldnt hurt :]

Best to wedge palettes in between sweaters, but remember to seal them in ziplock bags first so powders don't get all over your clothes. Seran wrap all liquid items and place in a ziplock bag - once again, towels and sweaters are your best friend to wedge things between.

Nail polish collections are probably the most difficult to move. You can stack them in rows inside of bubble wrap or old towels and roll - once they have a layer of something covering the first row, line that row w/ another row of nail polish and roll again. Hope that made some sense, and hope that helps.  =)

Instead of moving them on a plane why not just UPS it you new location?

actually i am planning on shipping my nail polishes. im to afraid that my shadows will break to ship them :[

If they're in palettes, I use thin foamy cupboard liners that acts as great insultator. I've also seen people use tissue.. just something to minimize how things move around.
