Hi guys,
I have oily skin that tends to break out from stress. I'm also a smoker.
I've been using Philosophy's Purity Made Simple for the last 4 years as a cleanser. Then I've been using an alcohol-free toner from Neutrogena which I follow with Olay Night Cream and an eye serum.
My skin isn't crazy but it does have it's problems due to discoloration and minor acne scars. My regimen now cleans my face but I'm really looking for something that will help clear my skin issues.
I've thought about ProActiv but have mixed feelings about it.
Any suggestions?

Mario Badescu has a good skin care line! I also have oily/combination skin and I totally recommend their drying lotion. It seriously reduces the size of a pimp overnight. Just dab a Q tip into the bottle into the pink part (don't shake the bottle) and zap your pimples away! haha

I heard great reveiws on Mario Badescu too. I wonder if there is a vendor that sells them in Hawaii though.
Speaking of Mario Badescu, I went to their site online and their Whitening Mask claims to help brighten uneven skin tones and gently minimize the look of old acne scars and discolorations from the sun. (I so wanna try this mask because I have a lot of scars on my face that my acne left behind.)

I never tried that, but I heard great reviews on it~ I tried their enzyme face wash, special cucumber lotion, drying cream, drying mask, AHA and Ceramide Moisturizer, and their hyaluronic eye cream. I can't complain on any of the ones I've tried except the drying mask smells really bad. Other than that my skin seems and feels better =)

You should try adding Peter Thomas Roth's AHA/BHA gel to your night time routine. It'll help fade old acne scars, keep pores clear, and help prevent breakouts as well. Another good choice is the Peter Thomas Roth Complexion Correction Pads. It's basically the same formula in the form of a cloth that you swipe on your skin instead of toner.

Thanks for the advice guys.
Friends have also suggested Mario Badescu and it's on a list I have to help me narrow things down.
Will definitely check out those Complexion Correction Pads -- I love things that are 1 step!
