I've had some friends take the course, and the master classes are definitely worth it because they have models they work on to do their demos, and they usually select models from a wide spectrum of ethnicities, so it's not just all one type of skin or facial features they focus on. Also, the deposit you put on the master class is then geared towards credits to products in store, so if you're paying $100 for a master class, you're leaving w/ $100 dollars worth of products. It's a win-win situation. =)

do you have to have any formal beauty training before hand? I've always wondered and wanted to ask at my counter, but i'm kind of shy. lol

to attend a MAC master class, you have to have your MAC pro card/membership. the classes are definitely worth it! you are being trained by amazing makeup artists. depending on the class they show you different techniques on doing that certain look and they also show you the latest collection that they will be using. you do have to pay for the classes, but majority of them you get the money back in products. so overall you are paying to learn from the best and you will also get products in return. :)
