I am debating if I should keep my bangs long and keep growing them or cut them. Side swept as I had it before or china bangs. Last time I had china bangs was when I was 10 lol. That was 11 years ago. I do want to switch it up a bit but I'm scared to death to cut my bangs and have them looking horrible! What should I do?
Pictures of you guys and your bangs would really help :)

Noooo bangs! It happened to me too, I couldn't decide but one day I grab the scissors and I'm still regretting it. Just try it using bang extensions like they sell in the mall.

I've been debating getting side-swept as well. I would hate to cut them and be annoyed afterwards. But, I am trying to grow the length back out and would like something fresh for the new season. Side-swept is the only thing I can think of.

I have what you called "china bangs" and I love them! I had them for a while then decided to grow them out over a year ago and I missed them so much, I cut them again. I even made a How-To video on it. :)

Only thing I am worried about is the shape of my face. I have a square shaped face and I heard it's not flattering with my face shape =\

^ Depends on the bang type. Bangs are not just bangs. There are so many various of bangs out there. These are the ones whose names I can remember:
Bettie Page bangs
Rosie The Riveter bangs
China bangs
Cropped bangs
Razor cut bangs
Vamp bangs
Side swept bangs
Choppy bangs
Blunt bangs (similar to China bangs but longer and in the eyes)

Whole-heartedly agree with Yasmin above. Bangs are very different and can give a completely different look and feel depending on the style. I've worn bangs since I was a kid--you know, the blunt-cut straight-across bang that most kids have. In middle school, I grew them out and HATED not having them. I have a somewhat high forehead (at least I feel like I do) and don't like it uncovered.
I've worn blunt-cut bangs higher than my brows, dusting my nose, curled 80's style, every which way. In college, I cut them to be more side-swept, which is my new favourite. --my hair in my user photo was a little floppy that day, but was the side-swept bang I sported for a while. My hair now is much shorter (http://yfrog.com/izc730j bad cell photo, sorry), but now sporting a choppy, piecey, side-swept bang.
Basically, look around for a style you like and experiment. If you don't like, try something else. Worse comes to worst, it takes a month or two to grow out, depending on how short you go.
