Hi there!
Well, this would depend on where you are located.
If you have access, look into the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfecter (http://www.beccacosmetics.com/COMPLEXION-Tinted-Moisturisers/c3_9/p23/Shimmering-Skin-Perfector/product_info.html)
This is a really stand-out product that gives stunning light-reflective glow to the cheekbones...but it can emphasize pores if you've got them around the cheek area.
If you cannot pick up the Becca product, several brands do amazing highlighters in different forms (powder, liquid). Your choice would depend on desired finish and price-point.
For powder, I can highly recommend Laura Mercier's (http://www.lauramercier.com/store/shop/Illuminator---Shimmer_Mineral-Illuminating-Powder_prod200026)
And Clarins does a decent liquid complexion perfecter (http://us.clarins.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/cosmetics-products_make-up_instant-beauty-perfectors_-1_10051_10204__42002_10383)
Both of these are around the same price.
Likewise, Mac's mineral skin finish powders dupe as beautiful highlighters if you find the right shade for your skin tone or the specific look.
Benefit's high beam is quite well-known, but a liquid.
If you're contouring your face and using a powder product for bronzing, then I would lean towards the Laura Mercier product.
In terms of liquid, I'm in love with Becca, but it's tricky to get in the US.
Also, it all comes down to how the product blends into your skin. Some people have amazing results or awful results with one product.
I apologize that they're no drugstore products ! I've never really tried drug store make-up properly...save for this one cover girl e/s trio...
Hope it works out!
Cheers!

Hi Shanalee! Farah gave such awesome suggestions!
I would also suggest MAC Cream Colour Base in Pearl for a highlighter. It's super creamy and goes on like a dream.

I also really like e.l.f. Studio Bronzers. With a very light touch, this sweeps a gorgeous shimmery glow to your face (without being overly shimmery).

Smashbox Artificial Light also has great liquid highlighters with a soft sheen or the artificial light powder.
Touche Eclat by YSL is also a great subtle highlighter!

I love the NARS Multiples. I use Luxor daily. it's an easy on-the-go stick that doesn't need a special applicator and during the summer i toss it in the fridge for a few minutes.. super cooling!! Good luck!! xoxo

My two holy grail face highlighters are: By Candlelight Mineralized (pink) Skin Finish from MAC and Albatross (white gold) from Nars. If you want liquid I love the Aritificial Light illuminators from Smashbox. I use Flash (pink/peach) and Diffuse (purple/blue/white)

Ohh although I second MAC pigments. I use Pink Opal for a pinky purple highlight (think Christina Aguilera in Burlesque) and Vanilla (creamy gold)

I've used Benefit's Highbeam, and currently have Smashbox's Artificial Light Illuminator; both give a lovely finish, not too over-the-top. I do have some drugstore suggestions! Boots No. 7 has a liquid skin illuminator, and it is very similar to Smashbox's, so I'd recommend it (I found it at my local Target store). Also at Target is an illuminator that I LOVE because it's thicker and more intense than the ones above--it's from the Napoleon Perdis line of makeup that he did for Target: NP Set Liquid Veil Makeup. There are a couple of different hues--one is pink-based, and one is golden. If you like a bolder shine (or if you're looking for something to wear at night), it's great! I can't remember exactly how much it was at Target; I think it was around $16 (but you can sample it before buying). :-)
