This may seem like a silly question, but I'm thinking about doing my first blog giveaway, just in time for Valentine's Day. I don't think I'll have a problem thinking of kitschy little tie-ins to give away, but I'm having some issues with HOW to give things away. So I'm asking you bloggers who have done similar things in the past, how did you host your giveaway? Did you post an entry and pick randomly from your commenters? Did you host a contest or something similar? I'm racking my brains here!

Hi Luna, I found it helpful to ask readers to post the following in your comments section:
1. Follow you and the giveaway company's twitter and/or add "Like" your Facebook page
2. Include their email
3. Visit the "giveaway products" website
4. Post a comment with what they've learned on the giveaway company's website. This helps companies want to give you more product to giveaway
since it drives traffic up on their website.
I hope that helps. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Good Luck!

Also be clear about your rules. If you're in the United States then your contest must abide by US laws otherwise if someone complains there could be an investigation that can lead to a huge fine.
