Hey everyone!
We all love our MAC and Lancome, but what are some under the radar brands that you don't think get enough love???
I think BECCA is a fantastic line with some amazing products, a shame people don't use their cream blushes more.

to be honest i don't know of any at the moment. i use to use just about every ...cover girl ,remmel, loreal, miliani and nothing compares to MAC, It's like with the other brands you have to tweak them so much to get what you can find in one brand and thats not worth the effort. but i don't discourage anyone from buying what i don't like. some ppl don't have the money to spend on top brands like nars mac ect.

Inglot. I think that's mostly due 2 the fact that there r only like 4 or 5 stores in the US. But their shadows & gel liners r AMAZING! I'm so lucky 2 work 1/2 block from them. If they had more promotion they could completely blow up.

I used to think that Wet n' Wild was underrated. Though it still fairly is, it is now finally getting the hype it deserves making it more popular.
LA Colors is a brand I feel is very underrated. It is a brand sold by Dollar Tree stores. Since they are $1, people assume they are bad products. However, I really love their lip glosses and lipsticks. I have yet to try their eye shadows.

Brianna G.
i think palladio and la splash are extremely underrated as well.

@ Brianna, I love my Palladio foundation primer. It's a great dupe to Smash Box.

i adore pur Minerals and thinks its highly underrated by bare minerals which i cant stand there product.
I agree i think Wet n' wild is very underrated as well as revlon. Although revlon has been around for a long time it has amazing products that people dont go gaga for like mac.
hard candy is soo underrated! it was an exclusive line to sephora now walmart! i hate going into walmart so its a shame! but i dont love some of the products.
Heavenly Naturals beauty is highly underrated as well! I LOOOVE there eyeshadows and fix + dupe and Mixing medium. They are an amazing addition to the beauty community!! There selection and deals are beyond amazing!

Hard Candy is underrated, there isn't even a section here at Beautylish for it! LOL Love the colors just wish it wasn't sold exclusively at Walmart.

Mica Bella Cosmetics are like invisible on the radar, no one talks about them, but they are AMAZING. Really, I have almost all their mineral colors and I adore them.
Also, Medusa's Makeup is often brushed off as a "gothic-kiddy-wannabe" brand. But they have some kick ass colors, brushes, and they LAST. Also, they are 100% cruelty free, which is a super huge plus for me.

I have to agree with Medusa's Makeup (http://www.medusasmakeup.com/). I've seen it on cosplayers and it looks great. I don't own any but what I've seen of it, love it.

@Yasmin: Hard Candy used to be at Sephora years ago, back when they were connected to Urban Decay (I remember because I ordered one of their nail polishes from there about five years ago). Then HC sort of disappeared or whatnot and I wondered where they went. Then it turned up at Walmart.
I'd probably go with Hard Candy as underrated, too. They've got quite a few other things I want to try. I also think Prestige is somewhat underrated, as well as Revlon.

Avon. I think that's underrated. I think almost everyone knows or has heard of it but I don't think too many use it. I think Avon is seen as makeup your grandmother/mother buys. Buy hey, it's been around over 120 years, so there must be some good.

Hey if anyones interested Tretisse Cosmetics has really good quality makeup for affordable prices. Mascara, eyeliners, eye pop pin eyeshadows, mineral pigments for sensitive skin, blush, lip products! Tretissecosmetics.com a fairly new company early 2010!

@Shelly T. - I think Hard Candy are doing a disservice to themselves by being "exclusive" with Walmart. I keep complaining on the HC FB acct that my (three) local Walmarts are either always out of stock, the displays are always a mess (as in if there is any product it's been used) or that they just don't have it (like the Holiday Collections of which I only managed to snag four items out of the 12). You can't even order off the HC website - only the Walmart.com one - and even then some stuff is not available online much less in the store. I'm not the only one who has complained about it but HC thinks that Walmart is doing a fine job at selling their products. I completely disagree. I'd buy more HC stuff if it were available locally but it simply is not.

See i never saw the holiday collection for hard candy it never made it to mine or online.. so i dont even know what they look like! LOL i remember when Hard candy was in sephora and there nail polishes were $20 umm no wonder they vanished. just saying!
My own personal opinion & experience with avon is its only underrated because of how pushy the reps are. i literally couldnt just order my products and be left to use them or try without 20 new emails, phone calls or door visits.. umm if i want more ill let ya know. this has happened to many people i know i stay clear of avon because i cant stand what follows it. its a great concept & i know alot of woman earn there living but come on.. my experience was bad and the products reminded me of drugstore items so i would rather deal with cashiers. sad i know.

lol - Hard Candy nail polish ranges from $1 to $6 or $8 now. Here are the pics of the Holiday Collection: http://www.facebook.com/#!/album.php?aid=250308&id=129088146300
I snagged the three Face Facts (Punk Collection, Smokey Collection & Natural Collection) as well as the train case. The rest were never sold at the local stores despite HC stating they were in stores. I even braved bad roads to go to one Walmart just for the train case! lol
I like some Avon. Mark - the "teen"/"hip" - is the sister company to Avon. Never tried their products but I'm sure it's decent since Avon has some good products as well. I just never liked Avon's prices and the pushy reps.

yeah a dramatic change in price haha!! Yeah never saw any of those GRRR! now im disappointed because they literally never had those at mine and im in a super walmart or whatever and brand new.. hmm?
Yeah i love mark, they have amazing products and i shop online @ Meetmark.com and never have to deal with reps! i love the lipglosses!! i agree avon does have some nice products but the pushy reps keep me away!

I agree about the Avon reps. I've met a couple of the pushy ones. Not a comfortable feeling. And the emails drive me nuts. I get them like every other day. Too much, anyways. The mark line is nice. I do use that as well. But I have yet to try the Hard Candy line. I remember when I first saw it at Wal-Mart, I was shocked. "What? Wal-Mart carries an expensive brand? OMG!"

Yeah i blocked all the avon emails, it was getting to be a headache and my spam folder was going crazy with it! Hard candy for walmart now i think is a hit or miss! the Fiberlash stuff that recently came out actually made my eyelashes hurt! I have never had the hairs actually hurt it was bizzar and i had to wash all my makeup off after 5 minutes plus it doesnt work! but i love there blush, bronzers, the new tattoo concealer is AWESOME and the lipsticks. i havent tried the nail polishes or eyeshadows? anyone know if they are worth it?

The eye shadows are a hit and miss as well.
Love Glitz Stick - Sparkling Crayon (technically it's a "body crayon") but I use it as an eyeshadow. Kaleyedescope are nice. Not crazy about the Eye Candy - Cream Glitter Shadow since I use the Glitz Stick. Powder Keg Loose Eye Shadow is nice but the Glitteratzi - Eye Glitter Gel is a "ehh" product. Haven't tried the Split Personality - Eye Color Duos but I do own one Eye Def just haven't used it yet.

Hard Candy definately, I just bought the Glamoflauge & OMG the most amazing concealer I have ever come across AMAZING even the little pencil I thought it would be all hard & cheap, but nope, nice & creamy great for touch ups or to define lips or brows. LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

LOL - Wendy, by any chance you live near me?! It's the same situation here. Three Walmarts within 10 miles of my home and the closest always looks completely trashed! I've complained twice to Walmart with the second time resulting in a $20 gift card which I did use to buy the train case. Still, I wouldn't go out of my way to Walmart (especially since I don't shop there) to buy HC. HC has replied to me that Walmart does just fine selling their products, I completely beg to differ as did everyone on that FB thread about it.
But back on topic...
Other underrated makeup....
NYC New York Color.
Target is the only store, in my area, that I found to carry NYC but even the selection is very limited there. Then again this is the same Target that doesn't sell much of E.L.F. My favorite NYC products are the shimmer powders. Love, love the shimmer powders but I mixed my Opal Sparkle (891) with that of a (now defunct) Mary Kate & Ashley shimmer powder and L.A. Color white shimmer to "make my own" which I use on my daughters when they require that extra "pop" for a concert and the like.
Oh wait, I take that back... Rite Aid also sells it but I hardly shop at my local Rite Aid right now since the building is so old and icky. The new building won't open until next year.

I've heard of Sleek (mainly thanks to Sam and Nic of Pixiwoo fame). :)
I'd love to get the Bad Girl palette, but it's out of stock. :(

I've heard of Sleek only because one of the YU girls did a "Tron Inspired" video and used their Acid palette which I would love to get.
