I love the way scrunchy hair is!! And I've always tried to do it, but I could never get it! >.< Any tips, products, brands?? I have a list of things I'm going to get for shopping, but I would love to hear your opinoion!! (BTW! My hair is straight, wavy, and color treated.. So I've always found it holds striaghtness well, just not scrunching. Curls is ehh.) But I want something fast for school mornings! :D

herbal essences has a line called tousle me softly stuff that you can use. and they also have curl boosting stuff thats purple (atleast the stuff i have). it seems to work well. i have the mouse and the gel. also, you have can a hair diffuser attachment for your hairdryer and flip your hair over and use that to try your hair to boost the curls/waves.

What i do is after i get out of the shower I put in a little bit of Herbal Essence Totally Twisted Mousse and then some of the Totally Twisted gel too and scrunch it up. Then I will just put my hair into a bunch of small buns or bobby pin all of my hair to my head and let that sit for like an hour. You can do your makeup, eat breakfast, get dressed, and everything like that while you're waiting. Then I take all of my hair down and will put a little bit more mousse in it and scrunch it. Then I take my diffuser and use that until all of my hair is dry. Little bit of hairspray. And voila. :)
Also sea salt spray really helps. I used to use it but it would dry out my hair soo bad. It may work better for you. :) You can either buy it or make your own by mixing water and sea salt (NOT table salt) into a spray bottle.

Thanks, :) I actually got Garnier Fructis Style Curl Scrunch Gel and Curl Construct Mousse. :D I like them, (but I skipped putting my hair up, I don't know why. I didn't feel like it) So I believe that's why it didn't work. Oh well.. I have a diffuser addapter for my hair dryer, and I also have John Frieda Collection Root Awakening Strength Restoring Hair Spray, (I love this, it helps for volume on my roots. :D) And John Frieda Collection Frizz-Ease Heat Defeat (heat protectant :) I use this ALL THE TIME when I straighten and curl. :DD) So yeah.

Look in the ethnic hair care area of stores...(wal-mart's good) and try to find products that have curl-activating/medium hold.
Herbal Essence
Suave
Bed Head
Bumble and Bumble
Those are all good brands for hair curl/scrunch products. Def experiment with the cheaper versions or buy samples to save some money.
All scrunchy hair is most of the time is just too much product so if you go a little overboard on product it dries fiirm/semi-firm and scrunches, kinda looks wet. I just but a bunch of stuff in my hair till I get it how I like :) lol
