I get a bit fed up seeing the same "high end" brandnames all the time. Can anyone suggest a good (drugstore or high end) brand that isn't as well known as the rest ? Just looking for some unique new products. :)

I've heard good things about Pixi (: They are a tad expensive, still (sold at Target) but less expensive than Sephora brands. Also, pretty well known, but the Sonia Kashuk brand, also sold at Target, has a lot of good stuff.

I LOVE sonia kashuk's brushes, so i agree with @kathleen there! ELF is sort of hit or miss but i find more hits than misses.
Other brands I love: NYC color, Physician's formula, and hard candy!
The NYC creme blushes can't be beat and I LOVE their translucent powder for setting my makeup. Hard candy is what i like to call Urban Decay done cheap. Not that the products are cheaply made but they are budget friendly. I can't live without hard candy glamoflauge and I also love their powders and liners.

Physician's Formula for drugstore quality is pretty awesome... I love their Happy Booster blushes and shimmer stack gel liners.
Sugarpill is a fantastic indie brand that doesn't get the love it deserves because of its limited range of colors to choose from, but that still does not disqualify them from being a high-quality range for eyeshadows and pigments.
Stila and Cargo are still a tad underrated in my opinion in the "high-end" world. I'm a big fan of Stila shadows and Cargo blushes... of course, instead of ordering through sites like Sephora, you can always order from them direct. There's always a coupon code for 20% off your first purchase w/ them somewhere to save you $.

I love Physicians Formula, they make great products. Annabelle also makes really good products- but they're a Canadian brand.

NYX is amazing.
Their lipglosses, and lipsticks have an awesome large variety of colors (and the glosses smell great). I also own their base which is nice, their cream blushes are good, single shadows too. I also have a 112 eyeshadow kit from them and all of the shadows I've used so far are pigmented and good.
Lets see..GOSH is another one if you are in Canada. Wet N Wild have really stepped it up...

A really good mineral make up line is MEOW COSMETICS. They have an array of mineral foundation (86 shades), and an array of mineral shadows. However, it's an online brand with a minimum purchase of $10.
SUGARPILL is awesome!!
Has anyone tried KATIE B. COSMETICS? It's "the first mineral HD" line (or so they claim). From her pictures, and what not, I really really want to try it out, but I just don't have the time or sometimes money to try it. Katie B. is a makeup artist to Playboy, and other celebs (it seems the most popular people she's done makeup for were Kris Jenner and possibly the rest of the fam). She's based some where in California, so I was just wondering if anyone from say -- LA or San Diego or around there heard of her -- and good / bad reviews?

I also just discovered PIXIE at Target and found their stuff to be really good. The eyeliners are definitely good quality and the colors are vibrant. Their face stuff looks very natural looking.....but still this product is a bit pricey!
What about MARK from Avon....good lip glosses :D

Rag Doll Cosmetics, is fabulous! as is Simply Kendra and Sugar Pill.
Sugar Pill is more expensive than Rag Doll and Simply Kendra, but worth it for their amazing pigmentation!

Someone here mentioned shiseido.
I think it's a great high-end brand which seems to be overlooked because of Chanel, MAC and what not. But in fact, they have some amazing products, especially for the face. Their spf foundation is a holy grail for everyday and the Smoothing Veil primer is amazingly good, especially for those who have dry or dehydrated skin.
I've also read some great reviews on their sun protection line.
