Hi! I am after some cosmetic brushes, and am wondering what are some good, long lasting brands? Any suggestions? :)

Here are some of my favorite premium/high-end brands:
Hakuhodo
MAC
Louise Young
Although I do love my brushes from these brands, I do have some low-end ones that have lasted just as long and have kept their shape and purpose for the past 2-5 years. Those are:
Ecotools
Sigma
Sonia Kashuk
Essence of Beauty
Real Techniques

Crown does loads of different brushes for all budgets! I love their brushes that are made of sable. Look for brushes made of sable or Taklon, these are the best for applying makeup. My favourite new brush is from Sephora and its their Classic Mineral Powder brush #45, despite the fact its called a powder brush this is perfect for liquid foundation and gives a flawless finish.

I'd definitely say sigma. They are really good quality yet pretty affordable and they have such a wide range. My favorite brush of there's is the F80.

Sigma or Bdellium! They carry all kinds and the pricing is pretty reasonable! I love the three brushes I own from Louis Young, and I only own one from Hakuhodo (which was like $80.00!). I think the luxury ones are really just marked up, hence "luxury". They are great to have if you can afford it, but even if you can, you are really just paying for a name, or some unnecessary element of the brush. They do the same thing that many other moderately price brush brands do well already IMO.
If your looking for ridic inexpensive brushes, I have heard that Walmart has a line of brushes that work really well too.
At any rate, try inexpensive first, and then work your way up and incorporate the more inexpensive ones into your collection if your other ones haven't satisfied you yet.

Most of my brushes are elf brushes from Target! I am a student and teach preschool so I am always balling on a budget! lol These brushes are 5$ at the most at target so if you just want to start getting into brushes I'd start with these because they are cheap and easy to replace! Mine have lasted 1.5 years now. I have also heard good things about eco tools and sonja kashuk as well!
