Is it just me, or do you too hate when that foundation gets on everything? Clothes, cell phone..whatever you lean your face on. I don't wear foundation everyday, but that is one reason why I don't. Do you have any tips and tricks to get it not to transfer onto other things?

I don't notice my foundation getting on anything, really. I don't know why, it might be that I use primer or that I set it with powder. Have you tried wearing a thinner application of foundation?

I get mad oily so this is a problem that I face all the time! The worst place of transfer is on my phone...which, if I don't clean, breaks me out like crazy!!! Pressing powder into your foundation is the best way for it not to transfer, as well as using a foundation that is oil-free and waterproof if you have oily skin. If you've got gorgeous skin already, which it looks like you do, kudos to you for not having to wear foundation everyday!!! Show off that beautiful skin of yours, girl!

I hate it when it happens before I switched to using MAC's Prolongwear Foundation and Concealer which they are transfer-proof. I do have super Oily skin during the summer time so I have to keep blotting my face.

So maybe that's the problem...my face is too oily? I use a matting serum and oil free foundations (when I do use it). Otherwise I used a tinted moisturizer. But I still get the transfer onto my cell phone. Like Viet said, "it drives me crazy". I too get a break out from it on the jawbone line if I don't clean the screen with alcohol daily. I use the Korres tinted moisturizer, MAC studiofix Stick and Bare Minerals foundation. I do use a primer and a pressed powder too.

Mandy K is right about Revlon ColorStay. I don't use it, but like Mandy, I know some beauties like Linda D. has mentioned that Revlon ColorStay is transfer-resistant.

Ugh, I have the same problem though. I think it was back when I was on MAC StudioFix and Tech... and MUFE Duo Mat, I hated hugging people. I don't know how it is in other states, but in Hawaii, a lot of us like to hug and kiss each other on the cheeks when we see each other or when we're leaving a gathering. I hated doing that, cause I know my foundation would transfer on people chin... or shirts. :( Don't get me started about my phone, and if I were to blot (I tend to blot on a lot of tissue or Starbucks' napkin versus blotting paper).

Or it sucks when I'm handling work papers, and for the life of me, it touches my face just slightly (the corners for instance). Then I see foundation transfer... yuck. =|

No matter what I wear (liquid, powder, stick) it pretty much transfers. Some less or some more than others. But I can never keep my foundation from transferring even if I use a primer, or set my foundation.

But I will try to wear a transfer-resistant foundation, especially on special occasions where I will need to do a lot of greetings. I just gotta save... hehehe... I really want to try the YSL foundation.

I feel ya Jane. The hugging and accidentally touching your face and having it rub off onto your fingers then off onto something else is just so frustrating. I agree with the Starbucks napkins. They are almost better than blotting sheets!

As I had mentioned, I don't wear it all the time, but when I do it's just so bothersome. I hope to find something soon. The best way is testing it this Summer. But I'm not sure if I could spend the $$ on the high end foundation if I don't use it everyday.

Revlon colorstay and MAC prolongwear are suposedly transfer resistant! However Colorstay gets on my phone =/ it's gross; the humidity doesn't help either! lol I want to try prolongwear soon but I try and use a primer when I wear foundation I usually wear it twice a week lately since it's been so hot and since my skin is oily.... I HATE tinted moisturizers; but I love my Origins Vitazing, it does give some coverage ( VERY minimal) and doesn't feel like a tinte moisturizer, i don't even know if you could call it that!

I think using a good setting powder is key and if your oily; and using a foundation that obsorbs oil well. A few I love
-Covergirl Nature Luxe
-Bobbi Brown Natural Finish ( oil free and made for oily skin super sheer coverage)
-MAC Studio Fix + powder foundation ( super high coverage powder)
-Revlon Colorstay ( does transfer but not as bad as some)

I don't really have that problem, except if I answer my phone right after I apply it, it does get on my phone. But I would recommend setting it with a good powder or makeup setting spray, and using a primer beforehand. I've noticed I get best staying power with MAC Pro Longwear and Revlon Colorstay

I use MUFE HD and I don't have a problem with it transferring at all. Powder products however, transfer like crazy and are notorious for staing bf's shirts, pillows, and whatever else decides it wants to take a piece of when your face is brushing up against it!

I use a primer and a setting powder both from the MUFE family to complete my unbudgable trifecta. I make sure the warpaint stays on.  =)

mine transfered to my white collared shirt at work all the time. i bought a setting spray (ud's all nighter) and i don't have that problem anymore. also, bringing along a powder to touch up when it wears off is good too!

Thanks Ladies! I'm glad I brought this up. I thought I was the only one. I went to the store to look at Revlon color stay, but geez...I can't figure out what color I am! (One reason why I hate buying Drugstore products) I do plan on trying out the UD spray for oily skin.

if you're looking into deslick, its more to control oil than keep make up on. i have that one too and i use it in this order:
moisturizer
primer
deslick
foundation and/or concealer
deslick
powder and the rest of my make up

it tames oil but it won't keep your make up transfer proof. all nighter does that much better than deslick. if you can afford both, your make up will last and you wont be so oily but if you had to pick one, all nighter will do a better job at what you need done :)

Oh thanks for letting me know Samantha! I do have oily skin too so I I thought that's the one I needed. But I will try out the All Nighter one first. Especially that it comes in a travel size at Ulta. Right now I just use the MAC fix+ as my setter.

ooh yeah it should make a big difference! fix plus is more of a refresher spray than a setting spray- its not going to seal your make up in, it could add to your oils without you realizing it too. all nighter should help! if you find that you love it, try out deslick. i bought deslick based off of a video i saw on youtube and the way the girl used it really interested me so thats how i came up with that routine :)
