I have been using a stippling brush for my foundation application, but i have been seeing more and more people use those little pink sponges that apparently everyone, "swears by." Do they really work? Am i going to get the same, if not better, results in my application? I even just like the fact of using a brush :/
advice!

i use my fingers and blend it out with a powder brush. :) the sponges harvest lots of bacteria, so i've never tried them

yes, they are washable. in the new issue of seventeen, it says bobbi brown has a good one, but i wouldn't pay 12 bucks for a sponge! haha :) try the ELF website, i believe they sell a pack of 12 for 3 bucks if you wanna give it a try. i guess it's worth it!

OH your talking about the beauty blenders! I don't own one bit my friend lent me hers and they work really well! You dip it in water and ring it out so that it's barely even damp and apply your foundation with it :)

If you're really afraind of bacteria, QVC has a sponge case that disinfects it w/ UV light - for like $20.

I, personally, don't like the idea of sponges just because it soaks up more product. With a brush, I can control how much product is wasted more than a sponge. You can remedy that by making the sponge wet so it soaks up less, but you still lost a pretty decent amount of product pouncing it around your face.

The Sonia Kashuk version is a little blue sponge made with a curvilinear base so it fits in your hand better. I hear those fall apart much easier than the original Beauty Blender though. You can also try Ulta's version they just released this year, for much cheaper.

I do the same as Abbie B., finger tips and then powder with brush. A sponge seems useless to me. If you use the sponge do you throw it away after each use. If not, how do you store it with all of that foundation on it?

I have been using a beauty blender for almost a year now. I use it to apply foundations that are more thicker/creamer. The water base foundations I use my sigma F80. The beauty blender is washable and last 6 months....even longer if you don't use it daily.

I love the Beauty Blender! I use it everyday to apply my liquid foundation. It blends the foundation so easily and is so much faster than a 187. It does need to be washed frequently but it lasts forever if you take care of it. I have tried the MAC dupe and did not like it as it was too stiff. Personally, I would give the cheaper ones a try but I absolutely love the Beauty Blender. It's one of my favorite beauty tools. I hope this helps.
