Has anyone ever wanted cosmetics that you can only get in the United States or makeup you can only get in Canada/Europe/Asia? I was thinking it would be cool if we could make beauty pen pals on here. We can send each other popular products that we can only get in your country and vice versa! Maybe throw in some candy too! We can set a price limit as well so it would be fair. Let me know if anyone is interested! For instance, compare superdrug.com to ulta.com.

That sounds like a really good idea! I really wish stuff like NYX, Physicians Formula and Milani were sold in the UK but they're not. And I'm sure some people who live across the pond are curious of our products too :) I'd be up for it x

They don't sell any of those brands?! wow.

I'm not sure how we this would work. I guess we'd just have to start chatting with someone to become pen pals and figure out which products we wanna send each other. :]

A good thing is that since its makeup it shouldnt be too heavy and expensive to ship. I don't think. Worth it though right? haha

Hey Tamsin, since you're pretty much the first to respond and I came up with this idea we should definitely talk! What would be best? Email or Facebook chat? lol

I love the idea and I'd love to participate. The thing is , has anybody thought the problems that may exist with customs?I think it's a point we should take into consideration.

I have NO clue! Like what?

I actually know a lot about customs. I ship items overseas for the company I work for frequently. It can be a hassle and does drive up prices. Something to seriously consider. I hadn't even thought about it. =/

When you fill out the customs forms, which must be included with each package you can note it as a gift and that helps some with the pricing. Also if the item(s) are under $50 that's better too. USPS is generally cheaper than UPS or FedEx.

Oooh, that's good information Amy. Where do you get customs forms?
Jun 29, 2011
Paloma F.
For instance, when I purchase something from any website outside Europe, I cannot spend more than 22€ (aproximately 25$). If I spend more, I may have to pay custom duties and the same happens if I want to send something, for example, to a friend who lives in the US, if the package is worth more than 45€ (aproximately 50$) my friend may have problems to receive it.

Kayla: When you ship something on line via USPS or UPS customs forms are on the site. Here's a link for USPS: https://webapps.usps.com/customsforms/sender_recipient.jsp

Goodness. So that means we gotta send really lightweight and small packages?

Here's some information from the USPS (you can always ship your first package at the post office and have one of the workers assist you): http://www.usps.com/international/customs.htm
