It depends because there are drugstore products that work just as well as professional ones. Sometimes to splurge we buy the professional or it just works best for us. Drugstore when we are on a budget or it works best for us.

I have both. There are some really good drugstore products out there, and some really lousy high end ones. For foundation and mascara, I always go high end, but everything else is a mix.
