Help! Lipstick doesn't suit!?

So I bought a lipstick online but I think it's too bright! So should I keep the lipstick or throw it away(though it's a waste)? Or can anyone give advice to tone down the brightness?(so I can keep it!)

Get a tissue, and lock your lips on them until you get the perfect shade.:)
