I agree with Jacqueline. It's really not your place to say anything to her without being asked. I also don't think you should tell someone their makeup looks good if it doesn't. However, striking up a conversation (and possibly building a friendship) over your mutual love of makeup could lead to you being in a position to share your favorite tips and techniques with her.

Wow umm... Let me think...
Compliment on her natural beauty. Say: "wow you're makeup is fierce! Love it (untrue). Do you also do natural looks as well?"
That's the best I can think of.

I know you probably want to say something but of she's posting photos she must really like it and be proud of it. We all have different opinions on things so she's entitled to what she likes and we should leave it at that. Even a friendly suggestion can be taken as judge mental. Let people be who they want to.

I think the only way she would change her makeup or eye shadow is if she talked to a makeup artist and asked for advice or if someone would say your shadow would look awesome if you soften it you got the color combo on track I just think you need to blend it out a bit, because your eyes are so pretty I feel like the black is over shadowing the color.I could help you one day if you like me to show you what I mean because there is this look I an dying to try out on you.I think it would bring out your pretty eyes...Ok so that would be something I would say because I do see it, if she is someone you no then just suggest it.But keep in mind she may like her look and not yours lol you better make sure your look is top notch before you suggest it to her because she could or not be offended and think hmm who is this girl telling me how to apply when she needs to learn to apply yadda,yadda,yadda..you get what I'm saying.Because believe it or not some girls like this look and don't like other looks.I've seen similar looks like this on this site and people do compliment the look.Which I myself or any other may not care for it but others may be a fan.who knows she may be a fan of siouxsie and the Banshees and trying out siouxsie eye makeup.I also want to point out not all drag queens do their makeup like this, their are many with amazing makeup skills and not all need to use extreme amounts.I just had to add that because my best friend my Mr Sister is a drag queen and as well as many other friends of mine ;-)

I just want to say sorry for my previous commment. I'm not a rude person but that comment made me sound like one. And I agree with alma I have seen some amazing make up on drag queens. If thats the style she likes fair enough It just works against het feautures rather than with them.

A few people have asked this and I haven't noticed a reply..(sorry if I just missed it) Do you know her personally? Because if not I don't think it's your place to say. I know you're only trying to be kind but it could just open up a whole can of worms.

@Toribeth &@Aleighnna I have to say I got what you guys were trying to say I personally read comments or questions in a good light right away because it's typing lol it's really quick for people to jump to the negative versus the hey this person is honestly asking a question out stating an opinion.I just added the drag comment as an importants to point out because of the obvious not all are alike.A for it not being your place to say anything is a little oxymoron because we are discussing beauty on this site and we all don't no each other personally and a lot of people give opinions and some are not so nice so if you do no her or from just fb why don't you time to time talk to her you could start a convo with her, like I mentioned in my other response. But I will suggest you take down her full face picture and if she is on Beautylish you should friend her and give your opinion to her on this site that may ease it. :-) hope this helps.

Her (his?) makeup doesn't look that bad in that photo. A little blending above the cut crease, a highlight in the inner corner, and a little thicker/more even eyebrow and it would look amazing. Perhaps suggest these things in a positive way: "I read that adding a highlight in the inner corner really opens up your eyes, I bet you'd look incredible! Wanna try it and see what it looks like?"; "I love how dramatic your looks are! I think blending the colors a bit would really emphasize the cut crease and look even MORE fierce!"; "I saw this tutorial on creating amazing eyebrows, and I bet it would look fantastic with your bold style. Want to check it out?"

I mean, it really doesn't look /that/ bad. The inner corner where all the colors are coming together is the biggest "issue" I think; it makes her eye look heavy/droopy. Other than that I actually don't mind the not-blended bands of color, they have the potential to look really cool.

Well, this is rather bittersweet. but the beauty of doing makeup is that you have the autonomy to be creative as you want. some ppl like to wear natural, bold, or dramatic looks. if she wants her makeup to look like this, then hey as long as she's happy, I would leave it alone.

@Aleighnna that's great you took down the other pics :-)

How do you know she hasn't been told before and been upset by it before? I really don't think it's your place to say. Leave that to people that know her, there may be a reason they haven't told her before. Maybe she's just experimenting at home and she actually wears very neutral makeup out in public? There's too much you don't know to start diving in with your 2 cents without being asked.

Too too much :/ maybe tell her she should wear more natural colours and try and shape her eyes to make them look bigger, she has great eyes and she is just drowning them out with all this colour

Maybe you could buy her a neutral eyeshadow palette like for example urban decay's naked palette since it's full of neutral colors.give it to her as a gift and tell her to YouTube all the tutorials on how to use it. I don't know hope that helps. (:
