Need some help ladies, I have fairly oily skin and need a new powder. I was thinking about Mac prep and prime, what are your thoughts? Also do powders that contain silica/silicone photograph well? I need to find a powder that will also photograph without looking chalky for my sisters wedding makeup. Thanks for your expert help in advance!

No silica powders in general do not photography well i would steer clear of products like the mufe setting powder because it photographs quite chalky. Personally my favorite setting powder is by laura mercier, the translucent setting powder. Hope that helps!

Yes they do photograph well! Ppl that see strobe from flash photography applied it with too heavy of a hand or just plain used it wrong. It's sad how ppl scapegoat the product when it's their own fault... =\
I've used I on myself and others for many important photographed events and they turned out beautifully! And yes... I've used it for weddings for a bridal party, and they looked AMAZING! Just use it very sparingly and in moderation! Don't cake it on and you'll be fine. =]
