Lotion before and after, and use men's shaving gel (may sound weird but it's meant to help with more sensitive areas)

Moisturise after shaving with a gentle moisturiser cause you don't want to burn your obviously inflamed armpit, shave with a decent layer of soap, or even try a women's shaving gel. To avoid the black spots, try waxing rather than shaving. The black spots are most likely hair follicles that you've just shortened shaving... Waxing rips them out completely. Good luck!

I had the same problem then I started waxing and I noticed my armpits are lighter. Yes it hurts but it's worth it! You don't get to do it again for at least one month!

Because you aren't pulling from the root, shaving only takes off the hair visible above your skin and leaves a "shadow" similar to how a man who shaves his beard looks like at the end of the day. Waxing or laser is the best way to keep the area lighter and you won't have the shaving irritation (red spots). I haven't tried something like veet but maybe that will help!

Also try a whitening soap, like papaya soap.

I would exfoliate before shaving. I use a loofah with some body wash and scrub my armpits before shaving. Make sure to use a good razor like Venus and lather on shaving cream

Could be your razor has bacteria. Put alcohol on it rinse it off with water. That should reduce the bumps

Exfoliate with an abrasive scrub. My underarms usually look like they have a 5 o'clock shadow unless I do that. Helps remove the dead skin to get more of the hair and also helps if you have any ingrown hairs.

Yes, I agree with shauna! Even though I had laser treatments on my underarms, I still exfoliate and scrub for a good 30 seconds each

I think there is a deodorant made specifically for that prob but I don't know what brand. I'm sure you could find it if you look online.

I'm sure it does but it's not cheap, and if you think waxing hurts you'll hate the laser. It's like someone snapping a rubber band against your skin but the results are much much better than waxing, tweezing or shaving.

When I started using Dove deodorant my underarms became softer and less irritated. They have a version that is supposed to help with skin lightening but I have never tried it.

Also, I just started using Nair depilatory and I didn't get any irritation from it. Maybe try the sensitive bikini zone version.

Shaving!! :$ thatz a crime.. waxing is much better you will hurt just while you doin' it n then have good results.. shaving no pain but you will be hurt 4 long time with the bad appearance of your underarm.
