I'm really against using chemicals on my face and I told my dermatologist that but she gave me some anyway. Ever since then, my face is always stinging and burning whenever I use anything on it (even my moisturizer!). My skin is also getting very dry and all my pimples are extremely painful but it's not cystic acne. I have an appointment with my dermatologist soon but I'm afraid of what she'll give me next. What should I do??

Tell her about it or maybe switch dermatologists?

When I did over the phone, she just said continue using the medicines and they might help.

My face looked like was burnt and I was in years cause of how much I wanted to itch my face and dog my nails in my face.. Keep using sunscreen a non oil one.. Your face will start getting use to the chemicals and it will get better. All the pimples are drying out right now. And so is your face.. So moisturise.. And try to keep your face hydrated.. Drink heaps of water.. And make sure you keep your lips hydrated..

I have the same exact problem now. All I can tell you is it will take a little while for your skin to adjust To the chemicals. And until then it will sting but it will get used to it and your skin will be clear ::)

You can use The body shop aloe soothing day and night creams...They're really amazing and will help calm down your irritated skin.

What is she having you use? It could just be too strong. And are you washing it off?

Honestly the things you put on your skin should NEVER burn or sting. Don't use it. I personally really don't like dermatologists, they are paid to push the products that they need to sell. I recommend you try Simple Skincare products, they are gentle and great for the skin. Try going to natural spas and have them suggest what you should be using.

I do use Simple and LUSH products on my skin. They're gentle. She gave me aczone and atralin. She wanted me to layer them. I stopped using them for 2 days now and my skin doesn't sting or burn at all anymore.
