I get like mascara sometimes like the maybelline drugstore ones ;) and like a lip color, mac eyeshadow, mac lip gloss, eyeliner, not really beauty but bath and body works candles or perfume sprays :)

I don't think its to early, you get a load of your back and that means less stress lol, I started shopping for my best friend to I got her a urban decay palette and I'm a get her a beauty blender dupe and I don't know what else lol... I love to receive makeup palettes it gives you variety and its cheaper then buying single eye shadows and they are super cute lol.

I plan all of my gifts so early too! I really try to customize each gift to the person for either a) what I know they like - for example, cat eyes (liner and lashes) or b) what I want to see them try
Then I buy value sets - typically from Sephora - and mix and match items from each set for everyone. So, if you have a lot of gift bags, you could buy something like Sephora Favorites Lash Stash, which is 11 mini mascaras, and give everyone 1 or 2 mascaras. Or you could buy lip gloss sets (I usually chose Smashbox or Stila) and divide them as well. Nail polish is also a good beauty choice!
