I head that Biooil works on acne scars, so maybe try that :)

Thanks. But will that cause breakouts? (:

I haven't tried it my self, so I can say for sure, but a lot of girls on here have talked about it helping with their acne scars, so I don't think it will cause breakouts, but I don't know sorry.

The best thing to do is see a dermatologist.

Glycolic acid serum 17%. Used three times a week this stuff is a miracle worker. Worked on me and I continue to use it along with a few other goodies to keep my skin clear. When used properly and consistently you can see a huge difference within 3 months. But it depends on how deep the scaring is.

Oh no,I deal with the same exact problem as you and heard so many good things about bio oil so I did a patch test for a week on my jawline(so stupid of me I know but that's where most my scars were) and I noticed the ugliest biggest cysts growing!! they were so hard to get rid of and in the end made every little inch of my face breakout.everyone's skin is different but oil on a acne prone sensitive skin is a big no no.

I use Neutrogena oil free acne cleanser to wash my face, then apply Vichy ProEVEN spot corrector. My breakouts and scars have significantly decreased! Moisturizing with a broad spectrum of at least 25 everyday helps as well.

A G I have to disagree about oils not being good to use on acne prone skin. There are oils that are actually beneficial for acne/oily skin. Bio oil is actually a horrible choice for acne/oil skin as it contains mineral oil. That is why you encountered cystic acne by using it. Mineral oil has no redeeming qualities other than be a carrier for other ingredients. Coconut oil for example is a beneficial oil as it contains anti-bacterial properties which in small doses can be a benefit for acne/oily skin. Just last night I started in using my Darphin Rose Aromatic Care oil because the temperature has dropped in my region and my oily skin was screaming for heavier moisturizing. Other beneficial oils for acne/oily skin...almond oil, grapeseed oil, jojoba.

If you have deep pitted scars the only thing that will work on them is exfoliation you need to keep taking the dead skin off to raise the look of the scarring and you can use glycloic like Shelley said paired with microdermabrasion and they have somthing called a pmd it is a personal micro derm machine you can do your face at home instead of paying someone like me lol but you MUST follow the directions on it this machine works just as good as one you would get it a spa or derms office it cost about 200 if that is to much work for you try using a retinol serum at night 3 times a week to start and if your not sensitive to it step the days up after a month and use spf 30 daily. And your not going to do all of these things together just pick one to start

Maybe try aloe vera, the raw plant is best but things which contain it are really helpful too :)

BioOil made me break out like crazy. I'm also oily and I have some scarring from cystic acne. I second the coconut oil, and I've been using maracuja oil with success as well.

A derm and a peel work wonders.

If you want significant results sooner rather then later, your best bet is a chemical peel / micro-dermabrasion treatment. I would look up salons in your area or a dermatologist that could perform the treatment for you. If you want to save money, you could do a chemical peel on your own, but please do your research before jumping into anything. I researched different peels, how to put each on, how to take them off, the aftercare post peel, and which peels are best for certain skin issues. You also need to find a reputable place to by your peel. I bought my lactic acid from makeupartistschoice.com. Within one month (one peel a week) about 50% of my hyper-pigmentation was gone. If you want to treat pitted scars, I believe glycolic acid would be more beneficial to you.

The best way you can give it a try is: buy Clarisonic.
