What can't you justify spending a lot of money on?

So it's holiday time and all those lovely holiday goodies are coming out. We all have things we want, and then there are those things we can't justify spending the money on.

For me it's the Dior Holiday Palette (the neutral one). It's $80 for five or six neutral colors. No. I could buy two Lorac Pro Palette or one Naked palette and a NARS blush for that much (and I don't even like the NAKED palette).

I could on the other hand buy either of the Urban Decay Vaults out at Sephora right now...if I had the money.

So what are some items you just won't buy?

I can't either! Makeup to me isn't something I spend a lot on with the exception for skin things like coverup I will normally get a descent one but I still can't justify spending a lot of money on it. Same with nailpolish

I could spend all the money in the world on makeup xD

shoes is my thing. I love shoes, but I'll search high & low for a cheaper version of some crazy expensive shoe that I found.
jewelry is another one. I never ever buy myself jewelry. everything I've ever owned, & I'm wearing has been bought by someone else (promise ring from my BF, ruby & diamond necklace from my mom).

@Mikayla and Nicole - See I can't say that. I paid $60 for my Smashbox Halo, and my first MAC trip resulted on $350+ spent.

So I'll spend, but it has to be worth it. $80 for five neutral colors isn't worth it to me at all.

I only splurge on something that I know I can't find a dupe for. I mean I can find most colors from the drugstore or cheaper brands from ulta. things like the perfect foundation for my skin I will. I'm looking into a new urban decay pallet since they tend to have unique shades.

I agree erin, some things from higher end makeup are priced for the name, or lovely packaging that it comes in. Not so much what your getting out of the product. I'm not saying this for all products, but a lot of them that are in the dior, ysl, chanel category.
I'll spend money on many things that I like but at the same time I'll outweigh the pros and cons, as well as if I have something similar. I love palletes, but 80 for 5-6 shades is just not cutting it for me.

I cannot stand watching my boyfriend spend $50 friggin dollars on a friggin CARD for his little card games. Like NO JUST STOP IT YOU CAN't EVEN USE THAT IT's A PAPER WITH A DAMN PICTURE ON IT YOU CAN FEED PEOPLE WITH THAT.

Literally the only things I can't justify is mascara.
To me they're all the same so I'm fine with a $5-8 one.

Other then that I'm willing to pay for quality definitely especially if it's on my face.
My biggest splurge so far has been my YSL lipstick I treat it like gold.

Black liners and mascara, as well as eyeshadows. I just can't bring myself to spend a ton of money on that. I use them so much that I'd be soooo broke lol (plus I splurge on skin care so I have to balance)

I'm honestly at a loss for the name, but there is a lipstick that came out and it's $50 or so. I can't justify that. As much as I want too, I also can't justify any type of SK-II skin care products no matter how much people say they are worth it.

@jacqueline its a beauty huh... Ughh when I saw that I picture having that set in my room and I felt like a little girl in the candy shop lol I felt like I was in the actual store and I could play around with colors like their was no tomorrow but when I saw the price I realized that our love could never be lol.
