Use a scrub to remove damged skin layers. Also a mask of green clay is great for that.

I guess it depends on the type. Are they actually indented acne scars or just red marks left behind from acne? If they are kind of indented, I really don't think any creams or anything like that work. I've even seen doctors for them, so I think you would need to ask a dermatologist. I've tried lasers even for mine and didn't have a great result. The only thing that has worked is injectable fillers, which is super expensive and not even permanent. And my scars aren't even that bad! I mean I hate to say it but if these indented type scars could just be removed with a cream or product, no one would have any! Now if you are talking just red marks left from acne, you can use stuff to fade them faster. I think exfoliation would help too. I would try a product made specifically for this and I think proactiv may have one.

I agree with maggie it depends on the type of scarring - if they are red or purple colored they were probably the result of cystic acne n will take a long time to go away but there are many lightening creams specifically for acne scars out there - like some people use benzoyl peroxide others find a post acne/blemish cream or lotion - like clinique has one and so does proactiv - otherwise I hear lemon is a good lightening agent too but haven't tried it myself - otherwise the best way to get rid of newer scars is regular exfoliation with glycolic acid or a peel 2-3 times a week

Clinique has a spot remover and I wasnt at all impressed. Possibly you would see results after having used it for months but the bottle is small and expensive.

Thanks so much for your advice and suggestions. My acne is not indented but is red and (almost) black. I posted a photo of the two worse ones located on my chin.
Thanks again!!
