Use a 1/4 inch curling iron and wrap thin sections around like a ribbon. Then flip your hair over, finger comb it starting at the bottom and hairspray

If you want to take less time than curling every single section-sleep in curlers overnight, spray your hair with hairspray after you get all the curlers in and when you take them out :)

I'm big on using hot rollers, but you would need a lot of smaller ones to get a spiral. Your best bet is dampsetting it with foam bendable rollers or the soft cotton variety that twists nicely. The more sections you divide the hair into, the tighter the curl. Then, use your fingers or a pick to style it loosely. You can apply a little frizz protection prior to rolling it. I'd set it with some Big Sexy or Catwalk spray when you're all finished. Good luck!
