Haha k so basically what I do, is put your hair in like the typical bun, then pull on it till it's loose and bobby pin the crap out of it till every hair is exactly how I want it.

Turn your head upside down, grab all your hair into your hand, turn back up straight and then use your hair tie. That's how my friends and I do it.

I do a ponytail first so it doesn't come loose then I use two hait ties to makr the bun part. One to make the initial bun then the second to get the extra pieces up and messy.

K so basically you turn your head upside down, grab all the hair in one hand, put your head back up, then take the elastic and and make a pony tail (looping it twice), then fold the ponytail in half so you can loop it as many times possible. then, voilà !
