I do a bleach free high lift from a dirty blonde that runs dark. When I want white, as I have done before, it's done with bleach and foil. That damage catches up with ya. If there's a way to go lighter without it, I'd sure be delighted to know! :)

Bleach/lighteners are the only way to achieve this look, high lifts will leave a gold/yellow undertone. There are gentle lighteners, I am a stylist of 10 years and I use goldwell silk lift system for platinum results.

Depending on what your natural hair level is you could use a high lift on your roots but you may need to neutralize the unwanted yellow tones after. But either way you are still using chemicals on your hair and you should be taking extra care by using protons and moisture treatments 1-2 times a week.
