So I'm 32. I Mostly just get hormonal acne but I do also get the occasional face, forehead pimples. Anyway, for awhile now anytime I get a pimple it leaves a scar! I don't pop my pimples or anything like that so what's causing this and how do I prevent this and how do I treat the already existing scars?? I've tried vitamin e oil, hydroquinone products, etc.but haven't seen any results :-(. Its become a huge problem and now I'm very self conscious about my face.

Hi
This has happened to my sister all the time but she is 25 and has acne prone skin for a long time.
Usually you can try mederma but if the scar is not going away then the last resort would be getting microdermabrasion at the dermatologist. They also can prescribe some scar medication which prevents it from happening. The microdermabrasion will start to peel the scars off and this way you can have clear skin.

Anytime you have trauma to the skin its going to leave a scar from the skin stretching and spot treatment work to reduce the pimple they also cause hyperpigmentation because of the medication in them ,if you pop a pimple you can put a little neosporin on it till it's healed thats what I do and I'm never left with any scaring ,then exfoliating and a c serum and a spf of 30 will help clear dark spots and keep them clear

Depends if its a hyper pigmented scar. Then you want anything that will brighten. OTC vitamin C and AHA products will make a difference. If it looks like the skin has a pitted scar, nothing OTC will make a noticeable difference. You will have to visit a doctor.
